everyone already played the game, just everyone on ps5 already played the game but wanted the remaster because it was a better version, well same thing with this, PC gamers use to be console gamers that's why they are bringing the games to PC for that crowd, not traditional PC gamers because they don't even play these types of games

Pretty sure the only reason he is having performance problems is because he is on a 2080ti at 1440p. Pretty sure this game on a 3080 and up at 4k balanced dlss and high ray tracing will be butter smooth. I mean if i can play cyberpunk smoothly over 60 fps constantly with rtx everything except lighting at 4k performance dlss with a 3080 ti and 5900x. Then im not too worried about Spider-Man not being smooth.
Honestly, after this release I'm really looking forward to Ghost of Tsushima coming to PC next. Here's hoping it comes sometime next year! Meanwhile, Uncharted is still MIA 🤔
The second that game was released I had a feeling it was coming to pc so I never bought it. Just held off hoping it would and I am so happy I did. Cannot wait to play that one.
Dunno, i still feel being relax sitting back and play with controller is better. Because this game don’t require precision aim or fast reacting. But it a huge thumb up that now i can play it at 4k 60fps high setting and don’t have to hear turbo engine on charge. And being on pc is likely gonna have great community support from behind.
With all the great things this game offers, the best for me was the pacing. You never felt like the map was bloated with pickups as long as you cleaned it up after every main mission. Truly a masterpiece all around.
Pacing is by far the best part of this game, the first night I started at 9pm and the next time I checked my phone it was 4:30am. This game spoils you with how well they paced the game out, makes you forget youre even playing a game

The epic music, the voice work (especially Peter/Spider-Man was perfect), the breathtaking movement across the city (I think I used the fast-travel system a grand total of once to see what it was like)... Combined with the masterful storytelling and a combat system that made me feel powerful at the same time as it challenged me, it all added up to what was probably the most enjoyable game I played that year!
More than possible suits, I want to see what the modding community can do interms of adding more random crime or adding a bit more realism to the swinging. Loved this game and I'll happily pay Full price for it again. We gotta how the industry that this is the quality we want out of our games
Speaking of the guns in HEAT, I watched the 4k release of HEAT this last weekend! I ended up watching the bank heist shootout 3 times in a row with maximum volume! My neighbors thought there was a shootout going on in my house! 😄 "Where's Waingro!" "How the f**k would I know?"💥🔫
I just recently got a PS5 (Finally!!) and played through Spiderman for the first time. I couldnt put it down and it became the first PS game I ever got a platinum trophy on. I will likely have Miles platiunum trophy in the next week or two. HIGHLY recommend.
Been hyped for this game since 2018 even though I don't have a PlayStation. Let's see if my laptop can handle this game. Ray tracing is probably out of the window with a 4 gig RTX 3050 but still here's hoping
I really hope this is moddable enough, that we could change the swinging physics and add more momentum and remove some of the weird assists like the ones that doesn't allow you to swing close to the ground.
I have to think it’s to save them from working on collision physics of spidey slamming into cars/pedestrians. In a mod do you think you’d like to swing low without collision?

At a certain point it’s going to be more cost effective to just get a gaming PC. You can play PC exclusives, Xbox exclusives and PlayStation exclusives and run them well for under a grand

i have played this i think 5 times, and i already bought it on steam, this game is just my favorite game of all time. i legit finished this game in just under 2 days, i just absolutely love it to bits. the only problem is, my parents are divorced, and i have a playstation to myself at my dads, but he moved across the country and i only see him around 4-5 times a year, sometimes less. so i didnt get a lot of times to play it, last christmas though my brother got a ps4, and i can ask him for it every so often, but i dont wanna take it too often, because if he came in my room always asking for my pc, i would be mad. but basically i rarely get the chance to play my favorite game of all time. but now that its coming out on pc, i am just so happy, because the amount of times i am in the mood to just swing around is so often, and im never able to do it. but now i can. so like thank god that insomniac brought this to pc
Great game. I bought it on release for the PS4, played through it twice. Bought it shortly after getting my hands on a PS5, and played through a 3rd time. Then played Miles Morales through to completion. Thinking of buying it a third time because my PC is a beast, and I still love this game. Wish my PlayStation saves/unlocks could transfer, so I could play New Game+ with all my suits.
I'm so happy this game finally came to PC, I've been tempted over the years to invest in a Playstation just for this but could never justify the purchase, so I settled for watching a few Let's Plays of it. And even with 4 years of anticipation and most of the gameplay having been "spoiled" by having already seen it, the game still more than lived up to my expectations.
I been wanting this and Ghost of Tsushima on pc for so long! I already played them on ps4 when they first came out but wanted the sweet feeling of 60+ fps! As far as the game goes for one of my favorite heroes, They did extremely well without having to go through the overly done Uncle Ben scene that people who don't even know about heroes much already know about while still alluding to things that were important like that to Pete. Plus it has a scene that truly makes me want to cry still when I watch it again....and now im gonna have to see it again :( Great review as always ACG!
Played over 20h on ps4 pro, cannot wait to get my hands on this one on PC. The gameplay is so smooth I could play for hours at a time and still have fun swinging around in the city just to relax. Solid game, I truly hope they make another one and release it on PC.

The regional pricing for it in many regions is horrible. It's more than +200% more expensive in India. PlayStation PC pricing is worse than EA and Ubisoft

So knowing that it runs "ok" with some hitches and crashes pre-release I think I'd wait for a sale a little bit or check the performance again on release.

I honestly envy anybody who hasn't played this game already. My time with this game when it released on PS4 was among one of the best times that I had ever had with linear narrative game! To this day it's the only game I've bothered to platinum on PS

The lack of regional pricing in a lot of countries is really disappointing. As excited as I was about this title making its way to PC I don't think i'll allow myself to experience it.
That was particularly jarring - I was really looking forward to Horizon coming to Steam, I managed to get it day one and overall enjoyed it despite the early optimization issues. The price rise really hammered home the fact that these re-releases are nothing but cash grabs for games that are technically several years old.
For me it was just a $12 add on when I bought the MM ultimate Edition on my ps5, no way I m giving full $60 for this even though it's probably the best exclusive I have played. I just can't pay that much premium to experience it again on my 3080 when the differences wouldn't be that much anyways. Pirate life for me here ig
@The Rotten💯 I hear you, there are exclusive titles I do want to see ported and obviously the more people that buy it the more likely or quicker it is that other titles/sequels get ported, but the prices are just nuts without regional controls in place.
I enjoyed this game when I played it a few years ago on the PS4Pro, but while the main missions were first rate, nearly everything else was filler or collectibles. I don't feel particularly motivated to buy the game again on either the PC or PS5. The game is excellent, but it falls firmly into the 'One and done' category.
I agree. I don't feel like I have missed out on anything by not getting these modern Spider man games on PC when they release. Sony has a heck of a lot more exclusives I would love to play on PC. The Spider Man game as a whole has already been mastered on the PlayStation 2 with those games. It's like if 15 or 20 years from now we get some company basically doing Batman Arkham Asylum again and having it as an exclusive on some console. Now, some of those side Spider Man games would be something special, like Web of Shadows.

On the one hand, the price is a joke, typical Sony greed. Absolutely unacceptable. On the other hand, I want this to sell well so it shows the idiots at Sony that we do want more PS5 exclusives to come to PC, as it's so superior.
I think they already realised that and we'll get the newer god of war and spiderman on pc too but a year or two max between the console releases since they make so much money on this ports ( I already bought Gow on pc and spiderman now because I don't own any sony consoles)

I want to play this, but I won't be paying $79.99 just to play it. I've limited myself to subscription services for my PC gaming, whether that's via Gamepass, Ubisoft+ or on occasion EA play. Occasionally I'll drop 80 bones on a game IF there's longevity to it. I'll have to wait for a sale I guess but that's gonna be a few years at least I'm guessing.
Last time I've played Spiderman game was in 2004. Never played any of it since because i'm not a console player. But man, what great time to be alive and also to be able to play Spiderman again on PC. Waited for 18 years totally worth it.

I would only recommend buying this at full price if you’ve never played it before. If you have the disposable income to just buy the same game again, make sure you tip your waiters really well as well.

Sony doesn't do bad ports. I've beat God of war and Horizon for the PC on release and both were phenomenally optimized games

Remember this review was made before Day-0 NVIDIA drivers. The drivers will make the performance much better.
Also nixxes is still pushing out patches as we speak. Some of the issues here have already been improved upon according to Digital Foundry.

Favourite scene on this is stopping the helicopter. I actually felt like a hero - its an AMAZING scene. Get this game - its soooo well worth it

The only game I never wanted to fast travel because it was SO FUN to swing but still did it sometimes just for those cutscenes.

For me it was just a $12 add on when I bought the MM ultimate Edition on my ps5, no way I m giving full $60 for this even though it's probably the best exclusive I have played. I just can't pay that much premium to experience it again on my 3080 when the differences wouldn't be that much anyways.

@The Rotten💯 I hear you, there are exclusive titles I do want to see ported and obviously the more people that buy it the more likely or quicker it is that other titles/sequels get ported, but the prices are just nuts without regional controls in place.

I enjoyed this game when I played it a few years ago on the PS4Pro, but while the main missions were first rate, nearly everything else was filler or collectibles. I don't feel particularly motivated to buy the game again on either the PC or PS5. The game is excellent, but it falls firmly into the 'One and done' category.
I agree. I don't feel like I have missed out on anything by not getting these modern Spider man games on PC when they release. Sony has a heck of a lot more exclusives I would love to play on PC. The Spider Man game as a whole has already been mastered on the PlayStation 2 with those games. It's like if 15 or 20 years from now we get some company basically doing Batman Arkham Asylum again and having it as an exclusive on some console. Now, some of those side Spider Man games would be something special, like Web of Shadows.

On the one hand, the price is a joke, typical Sony greed. Absolutely unacceptable. On the other hand, I want this to sell well so it shows the idiots at Sony that we do want more PS5 exclusives to come to PC, as it's so superior.
I'm pretty sure they already realize that. It's just a matter of when they'll re-release the major hits at this point

I think they already realised that and we'll get the newer god of war and spiderman on pc too but a year or two max between the console releases since they make so much money on this ports ( I already bought Gow on pc and spiderman now because I don't own any sony consoles)

I finally get to try this. First thing I’m doing is figuring out how to put on the Toby Maguire spidey suit.
I want to play this, but I won't be paying $79.99 just to play it. I've limited myself to subscription services for my PC gaming, whether that's via Gamepass, Ubisoft+ or on occasion EA play. Occasionally I'll drop 80 bones on a game IF there's longevity to it. I'll have to wait for a sale I guess but that's gonna be a few years at least I'm guessing.
Hope they smooth out the performance. Struggling to stay at 60fps @ 1440p on a 2080 ti is bad for a game that released in 2018.
The remaster is from 2020, a lot of visual overhaul was given to it

Eh, depending on the pc. Average gaming pc is a 10603gb, not even close to ps5 but more power to you if your rig is beefy.

Last time I've played Spiderman game was in 2004. Never played any of it since because i'm not a console player. But man, what great time to be alive and also to be able to play Spiderman again on PC. Waited for 18 years totally worth it.
When I played this on my PS4 I was hooked. This is everything a Spiderman game should be and more.

I would only recommend buying this at full price if you’ve never played it before. If you have the disposable income to just buy the same game again, make sure you tip your waiters really well as well.
