One thing I forgot to mention guys! this test was done with Winchester m193 and the 🔥 flash test was done each time with a cold can to demonstrate how well the Rc2s meditation of first round flash is. Also this test was performed with the 3 prong flash hider on the 11.5 and 14.5. The 13.9 had a 4 prong. Thank y’all and don’t forget to hop in the comments and tell me what y’all think of the mini’s performance.
I have both as well and have no regrets. They aren’t the quietest but they weren’t designed to be. If you check out the design requirements it was a repeatable zero, flash, full auto, and blowback. Surefire succeeded. I run my Mini on my 11.5 and it does just fine. I still wouldn’t shoot without ear pro though. I’ve run them on 11.5, 13.9, and 16. And remember, if your barrel has a Jenna Jameson sized gas port you can always get a Black River Tactical gas tube to shrink that hole.
I was definitely surprised how well the mini did on the 11.5 once doing a side by side comparison. They really are imo the best combat can, hands down. As far as the urgi goes, I always disclaimer that it’s gassy because the most common comment I get in videos with it is “bro its so gassy” like I didn’t already know 😂 truthfully, a little over gassed is my preference for a combat gun tho. so it’ll probably stay the way it is but I do agree, those black river gas tubes are a better option than most adjustable gas blocks on the market. That rifle speed gas block has peaked my interest a little though 🤔 maybe on another build.
Not a single gun that is hearing safe suppressed. Even 22 sub is 116db suppressed. Repeated exposure to 85db or louder can cause hearing damage, and immediate harm to your ears starts at 120db.
I run a mini on a BCM 14.5 pinned and welded. Love it, sure it isn't the quietest but the flash supresson is top notch. To reduce blowback I got the Radian raptor SD charging handle and that helped a lot . Not regretting purchasing that can at all.
I have the same set up. Glad to see the SD helps with blowback. Have you noticed any issues with excessive wear since we do t have adjustable gas blocks or any other issues running it suppressed?

Thank you! You will not regret the mini at all. Especially with a 20in, you have a really solid setup. I really like criterion barrels. I do want to get my hands on a PLxC 1-8. How do you like the eyebox and reticle?
@Not_very_grey 1-3x, the eyebox is awesome while from 4-6x the eyebox feels as flexible as any regular rifle scope , which is fantastic. Absolutely good to shoulder and shoot like a hunting rifle. 7-8x you should be in a very stable position and using deliberate technique because the eyebox is very tight. I think it's the perfect set of trade-offs in an LPVO because the eyebox and fov make sense every step of the way. I have it mounted on an ADM 1301 Recon Titanium QD mount, 1.47" height. The reticle is absolutely everything I hoped for. Usable without illumination at 1x while the reticle features come into play from about 3x and up. I find that the horse shoe is not a distraction at high magnification and it really helps you get on target. I like the chevron center, always did. I have the old 3x compact on an AK.

One point though I picked up on, you said the mini was actually gassier than the full size. I would’ve never in a million years thought that. Traditionally the shorter K variants are less gassy due to less baffles. Has that been your experience pretty consistently? Wonder what they changed internally. Thanks! Great video
Can you do this test(esp with the 13.9”) or a similar one with the Superlative Arms bleed off ajd. gas block? I’m curious if the vented gasses through that gas block with appear as a flash at night time, besides the flash from the muzzle. An enemy may think there’s two shooters, lol. I hear it also helps with blowback & it even makes it quieter at the shooter’s ear when in bleed off mode, not restrictive aka like a conventional adj. gas block.
Noticed the distance you're shooting steel at. I just bought a ar550 steel target, and I've read it's bad to shoot rifle rounds at em within 100 yards. I was curious if you get pitting in your targets at all being that close or if it's just a safety recommendation type of deal
Yeah so over time you will get a little bit of pitting no matter what if you are shooting steel with rifles. It’s 100% not safe to shoot steel with rifles up close. With that being said though as long as the mounting of the plate allows the plate to move, is at a downward angle and is pretty fresh/new, I personally will shoot it at no closer than 20is yards. But that is just something you do at your own risk. As soon as the plate starts to develop some pitting then I just flip it over to a fresh side or I will only shoot it from further away. Always wear eye protection. Catching frag off a plate definitely isn’t fun.
Well done video, esp the low light. Less metal to heat up so I suppose it would heat up faster (as shown by your temp results), but not enough to matter. It will also cool down faster. A properly built can, built out of things like inconel, is gonna do just fine. But yes, the longer cans do better with noise and flash, but at the cost of increased backpressure, length, and weight. Just in time for the release of the RC3 haha.
Right lol. I haven’t seen anyone do a side by side visual demonstration with the regular and mini rc2 on TH-cam, so I went with it, we filmed before the rc3 stuff came about and by the time the video was finished, TH-cam was flooded with rc3 vids 🤣 I just had to say screw it.
@@Not_very_grey ahhh I thought that might have been the case. I always forget about the editing delay between recording and uploading ha. Great content, so I went ahead and subbed. Much love from Texas!
Also, I was your 556th subscriber! 😎
@@lucasblanchard47 hell yeah, I appreciate it. I am also a Texas boi
@@Not_very_grey nice. Going to any cool events in 2024? I’m competing in my first ever rifle competition at Kalash Bash!
Whats that vert grip on the 13.9? Looks like a mini kac?
Yep, it’s an old kac chopped down and modded for mlock.
Have you tried these with 300 acc subsonic?
556 only cans
What buffer for 14.5 rc2 mini
H3 standard spring. Now I run an h2 with spring co blue spring, I like it better
@@Not_very_grey other than the 14.5, what other shorter length do you think would be decent for the RC2 mini suppressor?
@@alexg6344 personally I wouldn’t go below a 13.7 with a mini. But I see people all the time that put the mini on 10.3s 11.5s or 12.5s.
Nice review Justin Timberlake
Lmao I’m the dollar general brand JT
You need side plates dude
RC2mini on a 14.5 🤌
Agreed, it’s a vibe no doubt
