I totally support the Lt. General’s statements about rights. Too many people are advocating for the so-called rights of these violence producers. I bet they would say something else when it’s their family members who fall victim to some of the gruesome crimes being committed these days!

I agree with you because that's the time I did get to get through and I think it's because of my age why I didn't get through and again I was upset because I was a part of the hope program at the camp so I think we should of get the chance to but again I won't question it because God knows what's best
I interpret Meads comments to mean , simply put, that at times we need to take the kid gloves off. Jamaica needs an active secret police, ruled by a committee of maybe twelve people who serve no longer than two years and are chosen from a broad cross section of the Jamaican demographic, including the legal fraternity. This committee needs to be made up of people who understand that the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. This organization needs to be constitutionally entrenched, and have special constitutionally mandated powers, beyond the regular police and the restrictions that tie their hands... People who habitually think outside of the box, and will do WHATEVER it takes to win, including playing as dirty as necessary. (if you are a moralist or a hypersensitive "goody goody" you don't belong on this committee). This organization needs to have a substantial budget, as well as the unquestioning support of the JDF and JCF. This organization has to have a completely public face that JAMAICANS CAN TRUST. The field squad needs to be LIMITED to no more than fifty by law. These persons need to be HIGHLY EDUCATED and motivated(no dummies or goons), and very carefully vetted and trained. They need to be monitored uncompromisingly, and an uncompromising constitutionally mandated mechanism of accountability needs to be maintained. EVERY other serious nation has this. Why not us? Too corrupt to trust ourselves? Need another nation to tell us we need this, and do our creative thinking for us? Lastly, Goat Island needs to be turned into a maximum security prison colony...the ABSOLUTE LAST DEAD END STOP for those who think Jamaicans are just prey animals. The people we put in charge of our security need to understand that Jamaican life is the most expensive thing on the island, and start DOING THEIR JOB.
