As ashamed as I am to have only just found this channel, I can’t fathom how a legend like Ron Carter- who seems pretty active on this platform- only has 1.3k subscribers
Don't worry about the subscriber count, consider yourself to be lucky in the exclusive low count. I barely made it to the 2.1K. Mr. Carter has found a most effective way of connecting with his loyal followers from around the world. He is the Master at Turning the wrong Notes in life into the Right Note.
So many great clips on this channel , thanks for making something really great to watch . I mean everything is so watered down on tv. If i owned sky arts I would make a whole series of stuff like this with you .
I love your composition Blues for D.P Mr Ron Carter and it's nice to listen to you in this new version Almost "Blues for D.P. double bass solo thank you you are very kind Master Ron Carter to share this video for us thank you very much the legendary musician peace & music
Mr. Ducharme, you asked me a question I can't find now so I will reply to this comment. Your question was how I help to make the other band members "shine" .1. i'm confident in where iI place my(t he )beat.. 2. I am confident of my note choices. 3. Ia m really aware of my band members response to #1 & #2.
Beautiful! Thank you Mr. Carter. I didn't hear very many "Butter Notes" in this version! LOL! I am referencing a quote from Miles to Herbie during a gig you guys were on long ago. Mr. Hancock talks about it in a video about music theory. You probably know the story. I am loving all your books and learning a lot. When I feel ready to request a lesson, I'll let you know. Thank you so much for all you do! Best, Mr. Morrow
I absolutely admire you, Mr. Carter. One of so many of my favourite albums of yours is the one where you played piccolo bass with Mr. Kenny Barron at the sweet basil club. When I close my eyes I can see myself right in the middle of that jazz club, surrounded by a great audience and kenny barron being one of my favorite pianists and you being my favourite bass player .. it feels as if you're sitting right in my living room. Especially when you played those flaggeolet tones in "piccolo" at the very end of the tune I get goosebumps everytime! Do you still play the piccolo bass sometimes, if I may ask? Many thanks for the great music you provided and for all the things you've done and accomplished in your life. With the kindest regards from Austria, Andreas!
You don't know you need to hear something until you hear it...I needed this today! From London, thank you Mr Carter! Peace and blessings 💓 🙏🏽 ( going to listen again now)
Holy hell! You got a channel! That's amazing, what a treat for the new and old fan alike. Thank you so much all the music throughout the years, and Im eager to hear more from your channel!! -Noah R
Hey Mr. Carter! It's always nice to seeing you and hearing your works! By the way, you commented on one of my videos (duet with Houston Person on "Blue Seven", studio version) and I wanted to thank you for this. For some reason, youtube doesn't show this valuable comment of yours. (I can only see your comment on my notifications). It was a pleasant surprise nonetheless! I wish you the best and keep jazzing!
Happy birthday Maestro and thanks for all!!
