With the new “meta” of ultra’s and stuff like that, I’d say Chaos Avenger deserves a spot. Arch Mage is also now the best farming class with the new forge enhancements, Elysium especially. But I do enjoy the inclusion of support classes, which you wouldn’t have seen in previous lists, due to the community being fixated on farming/solo specific classes only.

Nah, i have all the classes here and then some, most people nowadays would disagree between lr and vhl's positions on this list, lr not only is a really good farming class, its a really good support class, it also has scaling dps for soloing which makes it deal even more damage up to 50 times the more the battle goes on and boosts up not only group dps but stacks on top of the other supports meaning it will always gonna be more appreciated than vhl in group fights, vhl used to be the big bad, but it's now reduced to soloing which is a tier below ultras now
Id say theyre interchangeable. Both 10s buuuut VHL solo clears more content than LR. LR group farms and buffs better but it does not solo clear or tank as well as VHL. Thats my reasoning. I can always come up with more lists like best solo farmers or best solo classes but for this one i went through all possible combat scenarios
@@Helimod vhl solos faster starting with 100k-400k hp mobs, while lr starts initially slow at soloing, Infinite Nox eventually stengthens every attack to 105% damage while vhl goes up to 50% at max with Undying Highlord AQW will always be on the farming side where most of the time you're required to kill X amount of monster x200 .etc to get the stuff you want, heck 90% of events now requires you to farm multiple monsters for cosmetics, class farming are 100% farm based quest, even vhl and lr themselves need you to farm multiple monsters. To truly go through every scenario of what makes the best class in the game, look at what the majority of the activities a player would be doing, either new players going through the story or endgame players farming for ultras, if a new player get to only have 1 class to go through the game, LR will always be going to solo through the whole storyg from start to finish because of range, aoe and mana shield mitigation all in one package while VHL's range has been nerfed only being able to use 3 and 5 and no aoe to speed through multiple mob farms Even as a low level player, LR's buff is always going to be appreciated by a group whilst low lvl VHL is gonna be doing dmg by itself

I consider Chas Avenger and Frostval Barbarian should be on the list. Also the LR grind that you presented is incomplete. You can get the resources by defeating Dage the Dark Lord. Though you need to complete the quests in revenant at least once to get LR.
As someone with Timekiller, Necrotic Chronomancer and Stone Crusher I just don't bother with the long farm classes like LR and VHL. Especially after the Nechrono bulls. I may someday use an IoDA on VHL just to have it but otherwise I'll live without it.
For group battles Quantum Chronomancer can be insanely overpowered easily dealing over 100K, 200K, and even over 300K nuke damage on a 7s second cooldown combined with damage from other skills you can easily be doing around 400K damage every 10s and in rare instances where a Powerword DIE is followed up by a nuke I've dealt damage over 10M+ on a single nuke
Just curious, what makes blood titan not make this list? It can solo some hard hitters like icewing that I've heard people mention VHL has trouble with (I don't actually have VHL yet, just wondering)
From my experience, it can only solo the hard hitters because of its ridiculous tank abilities. It takes a while to kill things but you almost can't die. I would consider blood titan a top tier class but most people wouldn't because of the middling damage. Whenever I am not sure about my damage output in a group, I just throw on blood titan so that the fight doesn't end if other people die.

IMO, as long as you have the core classes namely: LR (Legion Revenant), VHL (Void Highlord), SC (Stonecrusher), LoO (Lord of Order), AP (Archpaladin), FB (Frostval Barbarian), DoT (Dragon of Time), and LC (Lightcaster), you can easily breeze through all of content (Ultra bosses included).
I first played this game in 2009, i remember using the "allmighty" Barber Class, and also waiting for players to gather to kill a strong boss, when the 13 Lords of Chaos appeared it was a blast man! Good times, good times! Also played DragonFable since 2008!
with LR 2 skill it deceased 25% dodge on the enemy now using awe blast it'll do 15% deceased dodge and crit on the enemy making the boss die a lot faster than normal making farming even faster but ppl tend to use spiral carve for more crits to appear imagine if awe blast gets an update where it'll increase skill cool down by 10 or 20% making classes use skills even faster now that would be a rapid fire enchantment
I don't remember when I first stopped playing AQWorlds for the 2nd time. The first time was before 2011. The 2nd time, maybe 2017 or so, cannot remember. I wonder if it is still worth coming back for a 3rd time (you know the charm saying) for the story, gameplay, quests, grinding (never looking forward to this) and so in 2023 and soon 2024.
Drakel Warlord is another class that’s pretty easy to get but is also quite nice to have, excellent for pvp if you’re farming for dages legion. And also quite nice at solo questing because of the stun and the heal it has. Just lacks some in buffs but still keeps up well in dmg
Looool… VHL is and will always be the best. Been the best since 2017 when it came out. The calendar classes only compete with it bc of their insanely stupidly high nuke damage
People forget the shaman class. Archmage only work with elysium enhacement. So shaman too. Shaman maybe better in farm than lr if u have elysium, cuz it has mana problems. And shaman do a great damage in group battle. If u put mana forge, will be very strong. I killed ultra engineer very fast with it. Of course was on group. But did 100k damage very fast.
BEST CLASSES [Except Chrono] (Based on my experience) 1st. Legion Revenant - Ultra, Solo, Farming 2nd. VHL - Not that good in farming and ultra 3rd. I had everything to get vhl but I can't for the life of me push to get the roetgeriums, or however you spell it, I like to play solo and since I can't go and solo ultranulgath the quest left is an absolute chore x.x
Just to remember, every single class in class in the game has its different purposes. For example, Legion Revenant is good at supporting and farming but can't solo high-damaging mobs like Icewing Warlord or Yami no Ronin can solo Icewing but can't farm or support either. That being said, ranking classes in AQW could be tricky because again, every class has its purpose. For me, it's hard to properly say what are the top 10 overall classes because many things are needed to be considered but making a top 10, let's say farming classes is easier but still tricky.

I don't like how all my classes are banked because VHL and LR exist. Even though it's a grind, it doesn't have to be ultra OP. Destroys class diversity sadge and lost all drive to farm/buy other classes.

Get Legion Revenant as you can solo all the monsters in the quests then get Void Highlord to solo all bosses with ease, get a damage boost item if you havent already then after that you are set, stuff like Forge Enhancements and 51% boost weapons are locked behind insane grinds so you can ignore it if you want

VHL is a nightmare to farm without any pets. It took me probably a whole month to get and majority of the farm were pulling an all nighter 😭... Definitely worth it tho 😂
came here to check the latest class, turns out void highlord still at the top. kinda wish they have other ways to obtain the "heromart" classes for people living outside western region
arch paladin is def one of best class in game its all around it can solo boss I can kill lot of enemy AND ITS EASY TO GET! my biggest mistake is not getting arch paladin when I was a noob that was a big mistake but ya the class is worth it def get it!
god damn forgot about every chrono soloer swot is quite literally the best soloing + high hp monster farming class IN THE GAME also worth noting: CMP TK TCM for high damage high hp boss soloing
When thinking of this list I went over all content scenarios. What is 1 thing solo Chronos cant solo? Ultra bosses. Main reason they're not on the list.
@@argleblargle1 "almost essential" would imply that other options are harder/riskier. swot comp and cav comp are just options. neither makes it really "easier", swot just makes it faster, which doesn't matter too much.
CA is not meta for all ultras, Archmage is only good with Elysium(Also i put it on the list), Yami is too niche, Dragon of time is good but not as good as these
@@Helimod afaik. Drot is a better Group dps than Vhl. And Archmage is bar none the best farmer in the game it doesn’t even need Elysium like at all it’s better with acheron and valiance. Cav isn’t meta for every ultra but it’s far better than Vhl in ultras and more used than Vhl in ultras. And yami is a good solo class. You put SC on this list and it’s a basic support that literally has 0 actual use anywhere and is very easily overshadowed and replaced by Fb
Replace sc and infinity titan with YnR and this list would be perfect , there are classes that already fullfil SCs role both in general play and ultras , some of are on the list too ....while YnR has only 1 gimmick going for it , being invincible if played well , it still deserves more of a spot than another support class just because of its potential if you plan on doing alot of late game quests solo ....which is a very common thing considering the lack of players nowadays. It was quite literally my saving grace when it came to farming dot , killing icewing , farming the mortal coil - vital exanima or whatever its called - archmage solo.
admit it, chaos avenger is way better than void highlord in soloing,tankier and the damage is way higher if use it with correct enhancements, void highlord after the update is a bank class, so overrated

All I will say, if I didn't have Necrotic Chronomancer, farming for Legion Rev would've been hell.
For me its SWoT and Timeless Chronomancer.
I know it's hard but it can literally one shot bosses.

When thinking of this list I went over all content scenarios. What is 1 thing solo Chronos cant solo? Ultra bosses. Main reason they're not on the list.

@@argleblargle1 "almost essential" would imply that other options are harder/riskier. swot comp and cav comp are just options. neither makes it really "easier", swot just makes it faster, which doesn't matter too much.
the range of vhl is the only thing that makes me not use it as farming class

CA is not meta for all ultras, Archmage is only good with Elysium(Also i put it on the list), Yami is too niche, Dragon of time is good but not as good as these
@@Helimod afaik. Drot is a better Group dps than Vhl. And Archmage is bar none the best farmer in the game it doesn’t even need Elysium like at all it’s better with acheron and valiance. Cav isn’t meta for every ultra but it’s far better than Vhl in ultras and more used than Vhl in ultras. And yami is a good solo class. You put SC on this list and it’s a basic support that literally has 0 actual use anywhere and is very easily overshadowed and replaced by Fb

Replace sc and infinity titan with YnR and this list would be perfect , there are classes that already fullfil SCs role both in general play and ultras , some of are on the list too ....while YnR has only 1 gimmick going for it , being invincible if played well , it still deserves more of a spot than another support class just because of its potential if you plan on doing alot of late game quests solo ....which is a very common thing considering the lack of players nowadays. It was quite literally my saving grace when it came to farming dot , killing icewing , farming the mortal coil - vital exanima or whatever its called - archmage solo.

admit it, chaos avenger is way better than void highlord in soloing,tankier and the damage is way higher if use it with correct enhancements, void highlord after the update is a bank class, so overrated
