My friend, buying a burger in Uzbekistan is a crime.
The local cuisine is something that you will not find anywhere else in the world.
Disclaimer: I am not Uzbek and I don't live there. I just love traveling and know Uzbekistan a little.
I visited Uzbekistan a few times during the Soviet era, but now I live in Canada and I miss Uzbekistan.

In a Capitalist society- the Western world has ensured their currency is superior to anyone in the world - another method of repression. Hence the world is an open stage for a Westerner - can go and do anything and anywhere at will due to the exchange rate. I dont recall it being expensive. I could buy Lagman (noodles) for about $2 and Samsas (meat pastry) was even cheaper. Everything is safe, police presence everywhere. The only pain was the currency you have to carry big wads of cash so no-one will bother to rob you as they will need a bag. Samarkand is very famous in Central and South Asia as a major Silk Road city, maybe not well known to westerners. Make sure to check out the Tashkent metro and make a video, I loved it windchimes and local art design, Kosmonaut station was one of the best.

I would not have lent a perfect stranger my phone or other filming equipment even if doing so meant I could sit like a King 😉 You are a trusting sort, I dare say. 😎

Uzbek has been written in a variety of scripts throughout history:
Pre-1928: the Arabic-based Yaña imlâ alphabet by literates, approximately 3.7% of Uzbeks at the time.
1880s: Russian missionaries attempted to use Cyrillic for Uzbek.
1928-1940: the Latin-based Yañalif used officially.
1940-1992: the Cyrillic script used officially.
Students in Tashkent studying a Cyrillic-Latin conversion chart, 1943.
Since 1992: a Yañalif-based Latin script is official in Uzbekistan.

Hi Gabriel, Those structures are just amazing these are the Arabic influences you see this in Spain with regards to the influence of the Moors. Of course, the religion is Muslim, which is the other in influence, and you did say something about Turkish language, which relates to the Ottoman empire. This Arabic influence is why I believe you see a high standard of living overall following the laws and traditions of Muslim beliefs.
