Well folks, the long awaited Slumber Queen & Tundra are finally ready. All of the setbacks, mishaps, trials and tribulations have been taken care of (for now at least), and it's ready to get back on the road! It feels surreal. The thing that my life has been centered around for the last half a year or so is actually now coming to fruition.

So stoked for you bro! I bought a Sprinter with 240k miles a few years back with the van life dream. I ended up having issues with it and working on them myself, only to create more issues. So I know that feeling. Ultimately I had to get rid of it, having never camped in it. I got a new truck and a $100 truck tent and I've actually been using it. Just goes to show, you don't need need a whole lot to adventure. I admire your persistence and willingness to immerse yourself in uncomfortable situations and just learn things the hard way. You will go far
yeah, that propane tank was made to be on its side... i have a 1989 truck camper that the tanks are both on there sides. yeah it is a BIG camper. almost 4000 lbs. takes a dually to haul it.

I restored an old camper few years ago, I want to tell you get some turtle wax spray wax in a green spray bottle, spray it on that aluminum siding with a big bath towel it will make it all shiny again and leaves a coat of wax on it too get it at auto parts store around 7 bucks...people at an RV detailing place told me about it....good luck

I just use a four step little giant step ladder. It comes in handy repairing things on the camper when it is off too. The old dog likes the wide steps as do I but you may not need the width. So good to see how happy you are now!

I think you'd benefit from a Lagun table mount for eating and for setting a beer on a tabletop so you can keep it close to you! Check out the Lagun options .... a great way to have a table without designating a "full time" spot for one, since you can mount it in one place, probably on the lower cabinetry, add a table top and move it basically all over the Slumber Queen. The Lagun mount can also be slipped out of its holding so you can totally remove it if you need to.

Don’t forget if you ever find yourself out of level for when you sleep you can air down one airbag or the other to level out your camper side to side or both for front to back. Then just fill up before you leave in the morning 👍🏻

you can get a long extension bar for your trailer hitch, so it goes past the tailgate in down position, so if you want to tow something you can do it with tailgate down and camper on I think I paid around 60 bucks
Awesome to see the tundra build work out good! Can’t remember if you did the brakes on it but just make sure they’re up to par, stopping is the most important part of driving with a 1000+ pounds on the truck all the time (or most of the time). And I definitely recommend a hitch extender with some folding steps or rv folding steps attached to the camper/wood frame under it. Excited to see your future trips with the camper!

You must be in First Gen Tundra's group on Facebook, I've seen this camper before. My dream setup when I bought my Tundra but they're hard to find in Louisiana.
Yessir I am on that group! These smaller campers are definitely tough to find but they're out there so don't give up hope.
Nice!! I've been following along since you picked up the Slumber Queen and hyped you have it all set after that long journey. I've been working on my imported Isuzu Elf camper all summer too so I feel a lot of the back and forth decisions and ups and downs along the way. Enjoy the road!!
