The research presented here was incredible, as was the actual presentation. I was extremely pleased with the way Pastor Jim transferred from "head knowledge" to "inner spiritual enlightenment" - which is a major form of praise and worship. Jewish people (especially those in the Bible) have long understood the importance of learning and studying the Word of God. This is not about who is right or wrong, or one person is better than someone else "because they know more" - No - this is about 'A Passion For Truth' really - it is about wanting to get closer to Jesus and there is so much valuable benefits from learning about the details. Many people think the details are of "minor" importance but I have found studies such as this one helps us to strengthen our faith, give more meaning to our faith, and actually draws us closer to Jesus - which will eventually make us more obedient and faithful. This is what Bible study is all about.

Today is December 25th and I'm not excited about celebrating a lie. I told a couple of my kids this is my last year participatong in Christmas. There is obvious some mixed feelings. I do appreciate the teachings about Christmas. I had learned about it some time ago and tried to get rid of it from my household but my husband wouldn't let me. Its for the kids. So we have done Hanukkah and Christmas since. Then I thought it was going to be in solidarity with the greater Christian world and participate. I've sang in the Christmas Cantata for 4 years and do Advent studies to keep me focus on the reason we say we celebrate Christmas. Well this year feels different and some things shared in the video "Why two pastors stopped celebrating Christmas " solidified. Christmas and the Birth of Jesus are not the same. Jesus Birth is Bibical. Christmas is not. I don't want to dishonor my Lord and Savior. I don't want to continue a lie. Im asking for prayer to help me and my family through this transition or for me to stand alone. 🙏🏾 Thank you.

We, as a family, started through this struggle in 2012. It took years. What hit us the most was the thought that God gave us His feasts, so holidays that celebrate the Lord, we thought, had to be scriptural. It's OK for other secular holidays, but those oriented towards the Lord needed to be from Him. Otherwise we were placing our desires above Him. We have enjoyed His feasts for many years now

In the Holy Land, Israelis invaded Holy Family Catholic Church and killed three Catholics, an unarmed woman and her daughter and an elderly man. Pope Francis was upset enough to comment on it, and lament that the Israelis canceled C.mas. If pagan or demonic individuals decided to cancel Christmas, they did it to offend Christians. The spiritual meaning is their disregard for human life, especially that of helpless infants. Israel legalized abortion in 1978. It has from 17,000 to 20,000 abortions each year. Of their own ethnic people group. Abortion Islas violent as any other type of slaughter being perpetrated by both sides in the Holy Land.
A local Catholic missionary parish in Gaza reported Israeli fire against them. They cannot preach the Catholic faith outside of Gaza. Catholics and Christians are persecuted in what they call the Holy Land that secular people call Israel.
In order to defeat the date of Christmas, it might be necessary to come up with an alternate holiday at what you think is the correct date. However, the celebration of birthdays is a pagan custom. If you want inspiration, I suggest you listen to some of the Advent Scripture reflections of Frank Pavone.
Thank you again for your podcast.
As we know, secularized Christmas has become an annual family gathering event for many Christians. Yes, spiritual warfare is needed because the secularization leads to much occult damage that also goes on in secret during this season until the end of the first week of January because demonic activity also takes place over the transition of 12/31. The Catholic Church attempted to give Christians an alternative to combat the occult and secular events. We were taught that in Catholic schools of my youth. European-influenced Catholic schools especially explained this. It was not a secret that the date was chosen to offset the pagan holidays. Truths that we were taught as children are generally accepted as Truth. This is not to contradict anything you said. But just to give breathing room for those who do celebrate it for the sake of family unity, especially Catholics. Wheat and tares. We live in the world but are not of it. God bless!

Praise Yah! I have been teaching this exact thing for years. We only differ by one week as to when Zachariah was buying the incense, and that is only because it says the "multitude" was praying outside(Luke 1:10). That would only be on the day of Shavout. Which would mean that the prophecy was given on the day of atonement!
One other thing to remember. The course of AbiYah. AbiYah in Hebrew is "Yah is my Father". you cannot make this stuff up! But HE can!
Bless you Brother Jim for confirming Yah's Truth!

So if the visitation by Gabriel to Zechariah occurred on Yom Kippur which falls in September/October, we can assume that the conception of John the Baptist occurred shortly thereafter. Gabriel visited the Virgin Mary 6 months later, which would be in March/April. The Lord Jesus Christ was conceived very soon after. This would mean that counting 9 months forward for a normal gestation period would mean the Messiah was born in December/January. God bless!

Thank you for the truth and enlightening message. I have felt that way for several years now, it about what pleases our Father not us. It’s time to pray for the church to transition to something biblical that God gave us not man. Unfortunately most people have a hard time with these and do not understand it’s even better. We all have memories, but doesn’t the Father say don’t look back I’m making something better -Paraphrasing. It a shame that Pastors know this and because it has been convenient to keep it the same way. Most pastors could have looked at it and locked step with it and transition to God’s way. I pray that all see it to start transition. I asked the Lord a year ago at least what I heard is we will celebrate Tabernacles again. God bless all.

Dear Pastor, from my own research of mostly symbolism which the Word of God is steeped in, Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles) is definitely the birth of Yeshua/ Joshua. Symbolic of the name Emmanuel (God with us) alluding to the Feast of Tabernacles. Symbolic that the Feast of Tabernacles was the appointed time when God dwelt with His people. And symbolic that September is the 7th month in God’s calendar. The perfect number in God’s estimation representing completion. You are the only Pastor in person and online that has arrived at this beautiful and truthful revelation. Thank you.

A few other thoughts - Our Father confirms many such events. The Son comes to earth during Tabernacles, i too believe this as many understand that from many references, it is likely he will return and set up His kingdom, having the marriage supper of the Lamb, during Sukkot as well. But the scripture that clinched it for me is 2 Chronicles 7, when Solomon dedicates the temple durong Sukkot, the Shekinah glory of God comes down and the Holy Spirit dwells in the house of the Lord - during Sukkot. This is the time He dwells with man.

Thank you so much for your teaching. I have also come to the understanding that Joshua was born during sakote. Because it lines up with where Zacharias was in the course of priests and when he served and when John, the Baptist was born. Have you considered the writings of Michael Rood to say that there are 2 verses that were added in to the Gospels by Eucibius at the time of Constantine to claim a 3 and a 1/2 year ministry for the Pope to be the return of Christ as the vicar of Christ On Earth? This was done to somehow fulfill Daniel's prophecy. Yeshua's ministry was actually 70 weeks from when he was baptized to when the Holy Spirit was poured out. Early church fathers before the time of Constantine did say that his ministry was about a year. Just spoken in love for you to check out. Thank you for your great teaching today.

I'm listening to this for the first time today and 14 minutes in, I paused and said out loud out of nowhere, that the answer to your question about why Angel Gabriel reprimanded Zacharia and not Mary for asking how, is not because Zacharia was a man and God has more grace for women. It's because of Zacharia's spiritual position and authority given by God. Not anyone could enter the holy of holy and burn the incense to God, that was a very high spiritual position of authority, which should come with unquestionable faith to God, and Zacharia didn't portray that. Mary on the other hand had no such responsibility or spiritual authority, yet she trusted the Lord more. There are things God will forgive you easily in your infancy faith journey that will be reprimanded once you get into a higher level of spiritual authority! I just wanted to share what came in my spirit about that specific topic as it really felt like a direct answer I had to pass along.

Just before the 14th minute, you stated how Mary didn't get in trouble for committing the same sin as Zachariah with questioning the angel Gabriel. I believe it is because he was doing a temple service, and the presence of God was there. Then, Gabriel showed up. Not only this, but Zachariah was in a priestly role. When much is given, much is required.

I have a question... I am a woman and therefore not the spiritual leader of my family. I have been feeling like God has been convicting me about keeping Shabbat, Passover, and the Holy Feasts. My husband is a Christian, too, however, any time I bring this subject up, he thinks I am crazy. He sometimes gets verbally abusive. When I say that this is what God has laid on my heart he calls me self- righteous. I am also surrounded by a church family and regular family who do not understand and believe that only Jews should be doing this. Since I am not the spiritual leader of my household I cannot implement anything that God has laid upon my heart. I feel alone in this and I do not know what to do. Any advice?

I love the idea of Jesus being born during Sukkot but why is there no hint of feast of tabernacles around the text. Where is the community in sukkahs? Why are people in their homes if it was Sukkot? Wouldn't they all be dwelling in Sukkahs? Wouldn't there be plenty of room in homes or in the inn? Isn't Sukkot a pilgrimage feast. With most men and sons going to Jerusalem for feast wouldn't there be room somewhere for Mary to give birth?

Rome having initiated the imperial cult with Herod as king there in Yerushalayim and also the Emperor Caesar Augustus was crushing to the people of YHWH during this time in history. It was Rome who had decided that all the world should be taxed during the most joyous Feast of Sukkot (Herod and Rome and their adherents of their religious cult have always mocked YHWH's Name, His Tabernacle, and those who dwell in haShamayim. Revelation13:6, as well as YHWH's Seven Feasts which His Son Yahshua full-filled and continues to do so). With a distance of 6.8 miles from Bethlehem to Yerushalayim, it was not impossible for Joseph to attend the festivities there if he decided to (females were exempt from having to go up to Yerushalayim 3 times yearly; also Children), him then having completed the government mandated registration/payment in the town of his nativity.

    Hello, Pastor Perry Stone
I hope you are well. I wanted to thank you for the "When Was Jesus Really Born? - Time to find out! - Jim Staley 2023" video. It seemed well researched and well done. I do disagree with one point where you were off topic - the length of the ministry of Yeshua. At the 41:30 mark (th-cam.com/video/rUY7ld5icuE/w-d-xo.html), you gave an explanation of why some people assert that Yeshua’s ministry was only one year long (because the Passover lamb had to be one year old). I have never heard that explanation, and that one would not have convinced me, either.
You may or may not be aware that there is a dispute about whether John 6:4 belongs in the Bible. Dr. Nehemiah Gordon has a four-part video series with John Marquette and Michael Rood discussing whether John 6:4 is historically scripture or a later addition. The series concludes that John 6:4 is of questionable origin, and was, in fact, likely an insertion to create the false idea that Messiah’s ministry was longer than the year to year-and-a-half ministry that was affirmed by church leaders during the first two centuries of Christianity. Here are links to the series by Dr Gordon, and they are much more convincing than the explanation described in the “When Was Jesus Really Born?” video. And I have heard of no one debunking this series.
    • Part 1/4 Does John 6:4 Belong in the New Testament - NehemiasWall.com: th-cam.com/video/cZiWWqLWTgE/w-d-xo.html
    • Part 2/4 Does John 6:4 Belong in the New Testament - NehemiasWall.com: th-cam.com/video/eBmiF9Evu18/w-d-xo.html
    • Part 3/4 Does John 6:4 Belong in the New Testament - NehemiasWall.com: th-cam.com/video/mov8rYUBZdQ/w-d-xo.html
    • Part 4/4 Does John 6:4 Belong in the New Testament - NehemiasWall.com: th-cam.com/video/gUxc0JHz1iw/w-d-xo.html
With John 6:4 removed, then the Book of John describes just over one year of the Biblical Festivals, with the first Passover/Unleavened Bread/First Fruits covered by John 2 and 3, Shavu’ot in John 5, Sukkot in John 7, Chanukah in John 9 and 10, and final Passover/Unleavened Bread/First Fruits in John 12 through 19.
Also, Pastor Jim, starting at the 42:50 mark (th-cam.com/video/rUY7ld5icuE/w-d-xo.html), you claim that is impossible for Yeshua to create enough animosity from the Jewish leadership for them to want to kill Him in under a year. Well, Yeshua’s ministry was not under a year! Michael Rood’s "The Chronological Gospels: The Life and Seventy Week Ministry of the Messiah" makes the claim that his ministry was 70 weeks.
    • During His First Passover, Jesus cleansed the Temple (John 20)
    • He had at least seven disputes with the Jewish leaders about what was lawful on the Sabbath, and various other disputes - all in front of the crowds where they were made to look bad. (Matthew 12:1; Mark 2:23; Luke 6:1); (Matthew 12:8; Mark 3:1; (Luke 6:6); (Luke 4:16); (Luke 13:10); (Luke 14:1); (John 5:9); (John 9:14).
    • Jesus disputed with the Jewish leaders about other topics and made them look bad during all those other events, as well (Matthew 15:1-10); (John 8:1-11)
    • Jesus cleansed the Temple the second time (Matthew 21)
So, during His 70-week ministry, Yeshua had ample time to dispute with the Jewish leaders, such that they wanted to kill Him. In Luke 4, they wanted to kill Him after he claimed that the scripture was about Him - at the start of His ministry.
I would also ask you how to explain that Yeshua could go purge the Temple just twice during His ministry? He purged it in John 2 and again in Matthew 21. If His ministry were longer than 1.5 years, why is it not recorded that He purged the Temple more often? And He could not have skipped visiting the temple for a year, because then he would have disobeyed the Torah commands to attend the pilgrimage Festivals! How could He have kept from purging the Temple, if the Jewish leadership kept turning the Temple into a “den of thieves”?
Anyway, Pastor Perry, the comments in the “When Was Jesus Really Born?...” about the length of Yeshua’s ministry were a tangent off of the main topic of your video, and not as well researched as the rest of your video. And as I look through the other comments, I see that I am not the only observer who was disappointed by this section ignoring the research by Dr.Gordon.
Perhaps you might consider deleting that section of the video.
Again, thank you for the rest of the video - which otherwise was very well done. I wish that I did not need to highlight this one weak point. Keep up the great work in honoring our LORD.
    Dennis Swanson

I am part of the riff raff that considers the possibility of a one year ministry. You misrepresented the reason I had heard is the reason for that point of view. It seems John 6:4 has been added to the manuscript which changes the timeline for the 3.5 year believers. A manuscript researcher by the name of Dr. Nehemia Gordon verified this to be true. Stranger things have happened. Like making December 25th Yeshua's birthday.

Whilst we can all have unwavering faith in the Lord, we cannot have unquestioning faith in the potential tampering by man. We have to question everything, and I do, sounds like you do too. I believe the Hebrewisation (yes, I just made that up lol!) of the New Testament, including the name of our Lord, is something that needs serious scrutiny. If Satan wanted to stop millions of people from using Jesus's real name, what better way to do it, than convince them that His name is actually something else?? As someone else in these comments has said, Jesus is called Yeshua in the Bible precisely ZERO number of times. And given that Hebrew wasn't spoken or written at the time Jesus walked the earth, and He was given a unique name to Him alone, He couldn't have been called Yeshua. I hadn't come across any discrepancy in the duration of His ministry before, so that's something I am going to be looking closer at, thank you.

My understanding of why December 25th was selected was a Pope was trying to figure out when Jesus came into the world and calculated 9 months back from his birth and decided on December 25th as when Jesus came into this world making Mary pregnant. Interesting correlation between your video and this story dealing with December 25th is that for Hanukkah (Chanukah) in 5 BC (when Jesus is thought to have been born since Herod dies in 4 BC) was on December 25th of the later created Gregorian calendar. There are also several clues in Bible that give argument to Jesus being born in August or September timeframe. With all this information I think it is fascinating to think about but we must never lose sight of what is truly important, that accepting Jesus as the Christ who died for our sins and rose from the grave 3 days later. We must never lose sight of focusing our lives on Jesus and always accept that we might be wrong in things to turn to the Holy Spirit for understanding and guidance to Jesus our Lord and Savior.
Good video overall and very interesting.

I love these teachings. I do get irritated when people always make note about Sarah laughing and totally ignore Genesis 17:17 when Abraham fell on his face & laughed, & said in his heart, shall a.child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? And shall Sarah that is 90 years old bear? Abraham apparently had doubt. On Mary & Zachariah, he seemd to be in disbelief and Mary just asked how will it happen, which doesnt denote that she had doubt just unsure how it would come about since she had not done anything in the natural to cause it to happen.

I Love the Biblical Birth Story of Yahshua. So many want to put a day on when HE was born? But can I offer everyone a different way to look at Yahshua's Birth, shared by one Jewish Believer. ? . It's not about WHEN HE was born but about WHY He was Born and WHERE He was born that should be our Focus. There is so much Prophesy about Where He was born and Why that was fulfilled in His birth. Bethlehem or Beit-Lechem is called House of Bread in Hebrew. Yahshua said two things concerning Him being our House of Bread. He said I AM the Bread of Life . He is The Bread That Came down out of Heaven. At His Departure, He said He is our New Covenant as He ask us to Remember the Unleavened Bread as His Body was being broken for us. He was Himself totally The Uleavened Bread, without sin. He ask us to Remember This Feast, Remember His Sacrifice.
He was also Born in the Shepherds Field in Bethlehem. It is said this was where the choice Lambs were Selected for Passover.? He Became The Passover Lamb of God , poured out for Perfect final Atonement Lamb for our sins. He ask us to Remember His Passover, His death instead of asking us to Remember His birth? This is where we were all Born again by His Passover. And Unleaven sinless body. He was born in the House of David and called the Son of David. The Father Told King David who was born in Bethlehem, there will always be a King from your house sit on the Throne. He was the Last and Final King of Israel. To sit on the Throne of Israel. He was born King of Israel, He died King of Israel.that was the inscription on His Cross. Herod ask at His birth about the Prophesy of the Birthplace of the king Messiah they told him Bethlehem. That's why he ordered the death of the children. Also the Rulers Sadicees, questioned His authority because they said That the Messiah would be from Beitlechem. They knew he grew up in Nazareth, but they obviously did not know he was Born in Bethlehem.? He was also Born in the Tribe of Judah. . He is called Lion of the Tribe of Judah. This was His Land allotment. This included the land of Bethlehem, Jerusalem and even Gaza. Written in Joshua and Numbers 34. Most Important He was Born to be Immanuel. God with us and He came to be our Salvation and Healer and Light and Truth and our Way back to the Father. At His dedication when Mary and Joseph took him to the Temple. The High Priest again Prophesied, You will be a Light to the Gentiles and Salvation To Israel. And He most certainly Is. His Birth Story is Beautiful. He ask us Never to add to His Word or take away, inRevelation. The Father also ask us not to Follow Him the way the other nations do? So I never try to figure a day. The Father gave us all the Feast Days with Dates on them. Leviticus 23. If He wanted our Focus to be on His birthday or the day,, He would have Written it His Holy Story in Scripture. Yahshua told Pilot for this Reason I was born, to bring Truth.! He went on to say His sheep follow Him in Truth. Pilot ask what is Truth?
What is Truth about His Birth.? Let us keep that and we will be following Him. The Way. Thanks for allowing me to share this post. I love your Teaching. Truth or Tradition.
    Shalom . Blessings.

I will continue to be grateful that God actually humbled Himself to be born a human, in the flesh, to a poor couple, born in a manger, showing us that even He did not count worldly wealth to have value. Jesus Christ lived a perfect life, died for our sins on the cross, and was raised from the dead living eternally. He always was, he always will be, and He is our Savior King!! I have no tree and Santa isn’t welcome - curiously we have a tabernacle model as the centerpiece of our home. What is your response to the assertion that the priestly courses (48 weeks) move slightly each year (normally by one week as 48 + 3 pilgrimage weeks = 51 weeks), so we can't know for certain which month Abijah's course was in without also knowing the year? Also, Luke records that the angel visited Mary in the 6th month (which was also Elizabeth's 6 month). Is there a reason we should not trust what Luke says here? A conception in the 6th month would correlate to a birth in the 3rd month, around the time of Shavuot.

YSHWA HA'MESSIACH told Pilate, "I was born on the day Augustus brought peace to the Romans." That day was 18 Elul (the King is in the field) 3794. Roughly, three weeks before Sukkot was to begin. How many days is a newly delivered mother unclean? A total of 40 days after delivering a son. Mary would not have been able to attend Sukkot her time of purification was not complete. Which was the reason she was unable to secure lodging. Her birthing blood would have rendered the lodge unclean for a set amount of time.

Typed before I watched your video. Just happy to see the title!
I believe He was born the same time the Earth was created. That would be the Feast of Trumpets.
I believe He was circumcised on the Day of Atonement (Yom Kipper), the holiest day of the year. I believe He began dwelling with man in flesh during Tabernacles / Sukkoth. Blessed to learn this by studying His Word, not by man.
Sadly the church misses His birthday by 3 months every year; obviously the Father of all Lies doing.

Our months of the year have been changed by the Roman empire calendar. 1 How do we know when the Hebrew year began; 2. As Gentiles does keeping the feasts benefit us Spiritually?

As gentiles born again I think the feasts show is the power and might of Almighty God to work all things according to His purpose and for His glory. The feasts are therefore prophetic pointing to Jesus, salvation and the end of the world and the 1000ur rest. So why follow demonically inspired days and hich are actually meaningless when there there are Gods appointed days

Thank you for this amazing information. Can I ask how do I search for a ministry that follows these traditions? ❤
