Hi everyone, what a wonderful video of everyone, It was such a wonderful way to entre into the next Year 2022. We celebrated with fireworks but that caused alot of problems, and complaints. The whole family game looked good, but when i saw the girls with the sowing machine it looked so professional on what they were doing for mum. Anyway it was a different Christmas without my mum, but we had to make the most of it like she would of wanted. That was excellent! SO glad for the new year and how we can know Jesus the Prince of Peace and set new goals for the year. so I can tell others about the peace that Jesus brings. Also glad to see Sarah on her scooter. I loved how the girls are using their sewing skills and made Ruth that apron. I remember being younger and we hand made an apron for our grandma who was a larger woman. We overestimated her largeness. We ended up with an apron that wrapped around her two and one half times!!! But the embroidery is a great touch. We put a wagon and "grandma" on the apron we made for grandma. Is it a tradition to stand on the bridge and wait for the new sunrise? That was a neat picture! I loved seeing Josh's Mario ship being put together. He has shown me several of the features so it was fun seeing it put together! Would love a close up of the plaque they made you!

We call them "Jiji and Baba" but they are actually Ruth's uncle and aunt who are residents of Japan and have lived here over 30 years. They are permanent residents of Japan.
Just curious how you got your visas to live in Japan? Typically I’d think you’d have to work for a Japanese company. Is your church considered a Japanese company? What about people who are artists or musicians etc who might want to move there? Can you explain how you got your visas? Thanks
Our Church is a Japanese church/organization, and they asked us to come live and work here - so here we are nearly 8 years later! But you're correct, you do need some Japanese organization to sponsor your visa in order to come over (a work program, a business, a school).
I think you're going to have to wait until Japan opens back up first - I don't know of any options otherwise. We have people we want to bring over and can't yet either.

以前、家族で筑波山に行かれた時の登山ルートが妙に不自然だったのがずっと引っかかってたんだけど、今回のビデオでその理由が分かった。
寺や神社など、異教の建物が映るのを避けてたんだ。
でなきゃ「日本のお正月」の光景を映すのに、初詣が全く出てこないなんてあり得ないし。
筑波山ケーブルの麓の駅は神社の境内にあるから、そりゃ使えないわな。

年末~大掃除と29日を避けての餅つき~9•苦を避ける~で､お正月餅をつく!~鏡餅•お雑煮用の餅•おやつようのあんころ餅•大根おろしの酢餅•餡入り餅~白餅&よもぎ草餅•豆餅等など~西日本エリアは丸餅!
してました!後は、おせち料理の準備!各々の料理に意味が有ります~黒豆•田づくり•紅白~かまぼこ•なます~煮しめ•数の子•昆布巻き•きんぴらｺﾞﾎﾞｳ等など､そして三が日の朝食はお雑煮を!1/7の朝は7草粥を!7草とは、せり•なずな•ごぎょう•はこべら•ほとけのざ•すずな•すずしろ~これぞ春の七草~後日、ふきのとうが手に入れば天ぷらに❗苦味が旨い!～そして3•4月にたけのこ•筍の登場です!今春は必ず“たけのこ掘り”の体験を!ほりたて“ホイル焼き”は美味い様に〜❗
