Anita just like everyone, else, I have missed seeing your bright face giving us the confidence to create our own style. I can't wait to see your next video tutorial. Welcome BACK!!!
Awesome haul!! You look amazing and refreshed. I keep you lifted in my prayers but it is awesome to see the peace of God radiating in and from you!!! Keep shining
@@AnitabyDesign I do the same thing. I generally get a cart to put my purse in and the ONE item I went to buy! It saves you a trip going back to get a shopping cart! :-)
Awwwe it’s great to see your beautiful face and beautiful fabrics. I had just found your channel last week. I was able to watch most of your videos and they are fabulous. I look forward to seeing more! You are my new favorite sewing channel!!!
Beautiful fabric! I was feeling a little sad and blue tonight, but you just lifted my spirits with this video. New fabric is so fun and full of beautiful possibility. Love the coral! Thank you.
I must have a warm undertone to my skin too because I LOVE every fabric you have picked! Yellows don't seem to like me as much as I like them lol. I can't wait to see what you make. The one that has the pink/coral at the bottom of the fabric maybe make pants out of it that. I think that bold wide pink at the bottom of the pants would look fabulous
My GOODNESS what BEAUTIFUL FABRICS! I am "SEW VERY HAPPY for YOU Anita and I am looking forward to all those Beautiful outfits to come in the future! happy Sewing!
You are so right. All those fabrics are lovely. I especially liked the green background with the fuchsia flowers and both of the blue wovens. I have to say you and I have extremely good taste, 😉🙃😄
Thank you for sharing Anita.....One suggestion I have is when a fabric is not quite in your color wheel to add a piece that is...for instance if you take their silver/white fabric and made a sleeveless dress you could put a outer garment in a complementary fabric.
Yes, Towanda, EXACTLY! When Victoria said not to wear it near my face, I got the same idea. That's what I plan to do with the silver/white fabric. I'll make the skirt and a top in one of my colors.
So glad to see your beautiful, smiling face doing something you love! Thank you for helping me learn to sew! I have completed 4 projects (three shirts and a simple yoke-dress) that I am very proud of. You are such an inspiration!

Hello my crazy friend who lost her mind in Joann's 😁.......oh what beautiful beautiful fabric......70% off!!!! I never seem to get those deals.....that was nice hearing about your color analysis and what works best for you. I was just thinking that the pink floral fabric with the white background can be a beautiful skirt and I am as sure you have fabric already to match the flowers and use that as your top....that would be awesome.....I am all about the maxi too girl......I can't sew them yet, but I can sure where them....love ya dearly and be well ~ Lynette

How fun Anita! I've totally done the same at times! Sometimes deals are too good to pass up. The tie dye navy print is totally your style, and I think the coral and the green florals look lovely on you. I think that bright white with the purple flowers could get softened with a matching bolero in one of those purples. Or, you could get really crazy and do an overlay of a purple mesh which would soften the white but also let those gorgeous flowers shine through! I'm glad you went ahead with doing a color analysis--I know for me it was the best money I've ever spent. It's so valuable to be able to walk into a store and laser into what looks awesome, what's kind of meh, and what needs to be left where it is!
All wonderful choices Anita! And let’s be real...you DO look great in every color!! I have a hard time with yellow on my skin tone. It makes me look jaundiced and I actually don’t feel well wearing it. My interior design teacher taught us the psychology of colors and it’s been valuable information. I love your braveness with patterns and your style is always 100% classy! You will rock all of these and have amazing additions to your wardrobe. 💗
Heeey Shonna Boo! OMGosh, yes, Victoria spoke about how colors affect our moods. I really would like to learn more about colors. It's very interesting.
Hi Anita! :-) No, the yellow brush polyknit fabric does not wash you out at all. Neither does the white floral printed fabric. The green and pink tye dye knit looks lovely. I definitely see a maxi dress or bohemian style maxi skirt.
Thanks Anita. I was one of those on Instagram asking if you were going to do a fabric haul. I laughed at the beginning when you said you went in just to get one button😂. I could only imagine walking pass the fabric and not resisting. That was a great haul and you did an excellent job, being that this was your first fabric haul video. 👍🏾 God bless

I love your fabric choices....especially several of those fabrics no longer on the website. 😢 I’m sure you are going to have some beautiful new additions to wardrobe when you get them completed. Thanks for sharing Anita! I absolutely love your videos....in fact I’m working on the sheath dress video you posted at the moment. With that white and silver an off the shoulder fitted dress. Similar to mimig simplicity pattern. I will post it later if you want the info. But you look so pretty in whatever you create. Don't let no one try to dim your shine.
Hello Anita, Glad to have you back. hope all is well with you and your family. You look lovely. Love the fabrics I believe that we have similar skin tone. The silvery white material (the second last one) looked nice when you draped it like a cowl by your neck so maybe you could make a cowl neck dress to the knees.( just a thought). I want to join in your beginners How to sew. I have sewn a few items but I had the ideas in my head . Thanks for your patience and your thoughtfulness. LOVE THE HAUL
Thanks, Zen! You know what, I thought the same thing with the silver/white when I watched it back on the video. I actually bought with a draped bodice in mind. I may still try it out with a spaghetti strap.

Hello Anita first it was nice meeting you at the retreat you are as nice in person as you appear in the videos and you did get lovely fabric at Joanns I do see the difference with the colors especially the white and silver at the end it does wash out your color it will be nice as a skirt i am now sorry I did not get the color analysis but glad to see you back on you tube.
Hi Anita! Great haul and right on time information! I've got to take time to browse sometimes, and find a color consultant! You look wonderful! Take care!
Loved all the fabric that you have chosen I went in for a couple things and came out with a lot of different types of fabric I just put them on the shelf with everything else
Re-title this Enabler Alert. I was doing soooooo good - I deleted those emails and text messages from JoAnn's. Then came you and your video -how could you tempt me above that which I am able to stand - 😂. Your beautiful smile is priceless.

So glad to have found your channel, I love the Grace of God that you share and love how He shines through you. I've watched a few of your videos and can't wait to see more. Continue to be blessed sis!
Thanks for sharing your shopping fun with us! LOL. Story of my life: "I went there for a button...Got a cart just in case, and lost my mind...." I love that you chose so many knits. As a beginner, I've only just sewn my first project with a knit and I'm getting used to how to manage straight seams, work curves, and adjust thread tension/ stitch length. When I shop fabrics, I try to buy 4 - 5 yards at a time in case I want to make a long dress or a matching skirt and top. That might be overkill, but that also gives me room to make mistakes and start again.
Hey Mieca! Congratulations on your first project. Love that you're working on your techniques. So important! Yes, I buy 3 - 4 yards at a time if I don't have a pattern in mind, for the same reason. I always want enough to make a maxi dress. Not overkill.
Hi Anita Just thinking about you. Keeping you and your family up lifted in prayer. Cant wait for the next tutorial. Your smile is radiating and reflects your inner beauty and sweet spirit.
Hi Anita I hope you're well he's good to see you I love to see your smile every time you have something to share with us you always seem so excited it makes me happy and brighten my day I'm still trying to get myself together to so I'm still nervous I've never made anything from a sewing machine everything that I have made was by hand I love sewing by hand the first time I sold my hand I took a piece of material and wrapped it around me and made a skirt thank you so much for sharing with us I wish you well
I love all of the fabrics and I absolutely love the t shirt you are wearing from Mimi G. You’ve inspired me to get more fabric! I’m heading to Joann’s :) Best fabric haul I have seen. Thank you so much for providing the item numbers that helps a lot ;)
Thanks so much, Edna! I hope you had fun at JoAnn's. I wanted to go so bad today to use that 60% of coupon on notions, but I was scared to go over there. LOL!
Anita by Design I lost my mind as well. I ended up spending over $100 on fabrics 😂 I found the poly cotton stretchy ones and I love ❤️ the texture. I ended up following your tutorial on McCalls 7531! It is perfect!
Awesome! So glad you found that fabric. Congratulations on completing M7531. Thrilled that you were able to follow the tutorial. Thanks so much for folowing.
I am so happy to see you so happy! And that is a me moment to go the store to get one thing---3 hours later walk out with multiple bags lol! I love all the fabric you picked out especially the tye-dye one! As a beginner sewer, how do you know how much fabric to buy without a pattern? Thanks for the great video! And God is always shining through you.
Thank you so much! When I don't have a pattern in mind, I just purchase 3 to 4 yards of fabric, unless I'm planning on making something small, like a top, skirt or pants. I usually purchase enough for a maxi skirt. LOL!
Thank you for the response! I love maxi skirts and maxi dresses! I love all your videos. You inspired me to buy a sewing machine. I love making my own clothes. I still buy plenty but the ones I make I feel the best in. Thank you! I hope to be as good as you one day. 😊
Glad to see you back. Not sure about green on you; seems to wash you out. Thanks for sharing. I almost bought a couple of those from Joanns today but I ran out of funds. Lol! Thanks for sharing. Great to see you again.
I thought the silver and white looked great near your face! Perhaps it looks different in person? Anyway, good to see you again, and look forward to more!
Hi Anita! You are so cute! This is how I go to Joann’s sometimes 😂 “I am a sewaholic on the road to recovery... Just kidding, I am actually on the road to the fabric shop” I have the same coral knit fabric and I sewn McCall’s dress 7430 of it by watching your DYI video! Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us! I wonder what pattern will you use for jacket. It would be a great tutorial! I think white and silver fabric can be good for leggings. Thank you Anita! ❤️❤️❤️
LOL! Have fun shopping! Not sure what jacket pattern I will use yet. I thought about leggings for the silver/white too, but I think it's too thin for my liking.
Gorgeous stuff!!! You should try a wrap dress or spring over coats and lining for solids on the outside. Then reversible wraps are always an option... too much??? Can you tell I was flowing with you while you were thinking?
Oh wow I can't believe it I JUST bought that blue floral jacquard last night at JoAnn's but it was placed on a bolt with a handwritten number. I guess they didn't know what it was and gave it a product number of something that matched it. I had no idea what kind of fabric it was, just that I HAD to have it its gorgeous! 😍 Took everything they had which was about 2-3/4 yards. I can't wait to see what you do with it. Love the haul!
Hello Mrs. Anita, love all the fabrics with purple in it (My favorite color ). That has happened to me as well, going in for one thing and come out with tons others...totally normal 😉. Enjoyed the haul and I plan to also have a color analysis done this year as well.
I'm the same I can not go into joanns and see an amazing sale and pass it up lol. Omg the yellow you showed made your eyes pop amazingly. I love the saying you mentioned at the end. I tried my hand at sewing and somehow became the church seamstress for the worship dance team 😂 but I love it. I've only made a handful of things for myself or loved ones and like 40 things for the church 😂. Great deals and lovely fabrics. Stay blessed love
I know what you mean about walking past the materials at JoAnn Fabrics, except I am the person behind the counter so I see all the material people bring up to cut. I started there three weeks ago and have been very good by not purchasing any of the adorable fabrics on a whim until last night. There was this beautiful Christmas fabric of pinecones, garland and some sparkle. I am going to make a table cover and cover for my entertainment center. After the customer got her cut I knew I needed to purchase right away. As far as those item numbers being the same they shouldn't be. Just as you suggested, I would call your local JoAnn's store to see whether they have those in stock or if another store close by may have it.
Please please wear whatever colors you want because so far what you have showed us has been 100%. The heck with that color thing. You rock it all. I can't wait to see what you do with the tie die green pink jersy knit 16003444. I have that too. I just have not been able to find what I want to do. Help😍😂
So lovely to see what I consider one of the most beautiful smiles in the world back here, oh & all your fabrics are wonderful, I do agree though that the bright white above the waist is not so good for you !! I cannot wait to see all those maxi dresses :0) xoxo
I love the way you did the vest I use the way you did it and have made my husband 4 if them. Thank you so very much. Please can you show me how to make a waistcoat please. I have learned so very much from you and you make it very enjoyable. Thank you so very much. 🙏🏾🙏🏾😘👍🏿

Keep sewing, sister! Keep sewing! The more we sew, the better we become at it.
I’ve been waiting for you!! I’m so happy to have you back❤️
Yaaay! I'm excited to get back into it.
Thank you so much dear Anita
You're very welcome!

Great to see you doing well, hope your family is also doing well. I will be happy when you start Sewing again
Thanks, Claudia! We're doing okay most days.
Glad to see you back anita god bless. Lovelyyyyyyy haullllll.
Thank you! God bless you too.
Great haul !!!! I missed getting my color analysis, but I must do so!!
Oh Alethia! You MUST get an analysis. Victoria is great!
I love your video, because is perfect for your skin, and a lot of people don't know about it.
Thank you so much!
I enjoy your videos so much Anita!! X
Glad to see you back. Not sure about green on you; seems to wash you out. Thanks for sharing. I almost bought a couple of those from Joanns today but I ran out of funds. Lol! Thanks for sharing. Great to see you again.
Nooooo! Say it isn't so! I love the green.
I thought the silver and white looked great near your face! Perhaps it looks different in person?
Anyway, good to see you again, and look forward to more!
#2 is gorgeous. It will look very nice on you.
Disinfectant Spray Thank you!
I swear, the colors we are drawn to are always right for us
Very true! I have changed my mind about ALL of this since the recording.
Hi Anita! You are so cute! This is how I go to Joann’s sometimes 😂 “I am a sewaholic on the road to recovery... Just kidding, I am actually on the road to the fabric shop”
I have the same coral knit fabric and I sewn McCall’s dress 7430 of it by watching your DYI video!
Yeeesss, LadyNicole! I was thinking about wrap dresses this morning. I love the idea of reversible wraps too. Thank you for your input.
Ms. Anita, you are too cute in your excitement with your fabrics.
It was FUN!!!
I must say that was really a great haul, I have never done that....might try it when Joann's have another 70% off. #HappySewing
I did that 2 weeks ago had so much fun....
I always go into a store for one thing...yep, I come out with a lot more.
Hello Mrs. Anita, love all the fabrics with purple in it (My favorite color ). That has happened to me as well, going in for one thing and come out with tons others...totally normal 😉. Enjoyed the haul and I plan to also have a color analysis done this year as well.
Oh, you will be so happy to have the color analysis.
Thanks, Esther! Bless your heart for all the sewing you do for your church.
Thank you
I love your fabric choices. When you purchase fabric how much yardage do you usually buy?
Thank you! I usually purchase about 3 or 4 yards unless I have something specific in mind that I want to sew.
Good that you've maintained your self control. Have fun sewing your Christmas pieces.
LOL! Maxi dress fever will be happening over this way. Thank you Alison!
Welcome back, Anita
Thank you!
You are quite welcome, be blessed
I love the way you did the vest I use the way you did it and have made my husband 4 if them. Thank you so very much. Please can you show me how to make a waistcoat please. I have learned so very much from you and you make it very enjoyable. Thank you so very much. 🙏🏾🙏🏾😘👍🏿
Awesome, Laura! Congratulations on your success.
I say wear whatever color makes you happy!
Yep, I totally changed my mind a while after recording this video.
Not really a "floral" person but I like the pink water color fabric!
ginjabea49 Isn’t it gorgeous?
It’s so hard to not buy fabric!! Love your finds! 🤗
It really is, Jamie!
