I have not dissembled it since completing set up. However I did fold it back after opening it. I do not believe this bassinet was designed to be portable.. However, it does fit back into the carrier bag and as long as your not expecting it to be quick and easy to set up it could be done. If you do decide to use it as a portable bassinet I would suggest using the security ropes to secure the legs with the wheels on them as they do not lock in their folded position. Hope this helps!
