As the fellow previously stated, that shrine below the hive removes an ability and in exchange gives you two talents. It costs 10 knowledge to use per usage (bottom right to see how much you have).
Honestly, i belive that the progress you made with your guild was the perfect amount, you got the necessities that you need like face wash, air dash, and glider, stuff almosy impossible to figure out on your own but not too impactful
@evgg9260 I see what you mean, maybe impactful wasn't the right word, but I meant it more in the sense as not too impactful to him still being able to play and feel like a new player, if yk what I'm tryna say
7:15 thats a deep shrine and they can help you fix your builds and do other stuff, for example: the shrine of order takes all of your stats and balances it out evenly (thats something i would recommend searching up) That specific shrine was the “Shrine of Division” which lets you turn in a mantra in exchange for 2 random talent cards. Hope this helps.
I definitely want as many of these as possible. Even after getting your oath there's still a fair bit of exploration to do, especially in the depths, and many bosses and questlines to complete.
I love this series, i was basically carried through deepwoken and now i know almost everything. So its kinda nice to see deepwoken from the perspective of someone who hasn’t looked at a guide.
you did NOT have to include me getting my head blown up at rotlands LMAOOO 😭anyways i had fun showing you around but by the time you got off i was feeling pretty guilty about having had you breeze through some of the content of the game, so im glad you realized it was probably a better turn to go solo for a bit. I made it a promise to myself for the next time we play together, i will hop on a fresh slot, because i can fully understand that the content is less appealing having some max levels carry you through. Loved the video however ♥at the pace youre improving, your gonna have a lot of fun creating some super fun and creative builds, and some niche playstyles. the deep always calls.
PLEASE PART 3 I love seeing new players just play deepwoken without knowing anything even if u watch tutorials and look at the wiki everyone dose that everyone will also eventually get invited to a random guild and play with them or without but that wont make u better at the game even if they carry you your just not gonna know what to do without them you are just doing the best choices right now its ok if u get help from your guild in like learning and fighting against voidwalkers cuz they are really annoying to fight they can be very experienced at the game and bounty you and they you just lose a life and its just annoying and again PLEASE PART 3 Tips: hold F when using your thunder blades it will let out another hit and u dont get punished if u go rizz pick under the radar voidwalkers have a smaller chance of attacking you with it
Tip, you can get more orgins ( 3 more). These are lone warrior, deepbound (my personal fav, dont judge me.), and Void walker. Each of the orgins are for certain things. Lone warrior is for when you spawn in a place called the trial of one. Which is pretty hard when ur starting. Deepbound spawns you in the depths and it offers easier progression and better loot however the depths trial you face is harder and also the risk of dying is very high. Voidwalker is well, voidwalker. You prob you know what it is. To obtain each one, you need to do some certain missions. For lone warrior, you need to beat the threser (the crocodile thing with no eyes)in the trial. For deepbound, you must go into a whirlpool in the ocean and then you need to find a guy who pops some guys heads off.you gotta talk to him and find a castle (in the top left of the depths, you can use ur map to find where your going.) then, you must climb the stairs and go into another room and talk to the same guy and then u get it. For voidwalker, you must kill 5 people and then find a event wheres theres a burning boat and one non burning boat. You must talk to a guy in the boats deck and then get into one of the leaders time orb thingies. Then you tp into a hall and then u talk to the person in the hall and you get it. And those are the origins. (Srry if my english is janky, im not a native speaker. I put it through translate xd.) btw ur a good yt :3.
Great video. Always nice to see someone experience a game that's been with others for years. Make sure when you are pvping to use your m1s more, the katana weapon you are using is decently fast and can be used to catch people off guard and cancel their abilities! Good luck in the next layer!
7:24 That was a deep shrine there are multiple of these on the map allowing you to optimize your character in exchange for knowlege that specific shrine sacrifices a mantra and grants you 2 talents
7:16 basically those are shrines and there are multiple in the world. They offer you a deal like exchanging a talent for another one and you will need to use 5 knowledge (the target icon on the bottom left of your screen)
Hey, a helpful tip: when you get a hit on someone, don’t back away. Just keep hitting them especially once you casted a mantra(it will stunlock them). Only back away when you’re getting hit but if you do hit them, just continue hitting them. Hope this helps a bit :)
Some helpful pvp tips! - You’re a little too passive when you fight. You hold S even when you land attacks on your opponent. Keep the pressure and follow your attacks with more until they block/parry/dodge. It’s good to know when to be aggressive and when to be defensive. - Definitely practice parry trading even more, even if that involves spending a lot of time with the training NPC at isle of vigils. - When you land an m1, if you immediately cast a mantra, it’ll come out a lot faster than pressing the button to cast a mantra after the m1 animation is over. Really good for keeping pressure and stacking damage quickly.
Seeing you play with your guild takes me back to when i was still a freshie lmao. (please dodge when your'e on fire) You are way better than me when i started :DDDD
7:23 so there is diffirent shrines in the game that gives you random things for knowledge ( the thing at your notes count ) . Shrines can give you mantras for 2 talents, reroll talents, give 2 talents for a mantra, unburn cards and others, also there exists shrine of order that balances your stats and do some magic so you can save points on your build. The shrine that you talked with takes 1 mantra from you and gives 2 talents. Also you can get knowledge by lvling up, doing layer 2, doing some quests, killing bosses for the first time and other. ( hoppe i helped :) )
Hope this will help : if you are in the same serrver as your guild mates and you want to have contact with them without searching the whole map you can do "!and a word" so just put an ! before a word and everyone in your guild will be able to see it (btw i still didnt saw the full video)
Noob combat tips: missing a parry sets it on cooldown. If such happens, hold block for +1 second until its off cd. If an enemy is chsrging a blockbreak move while you are blocking, use dodge. Also when dodging, click m1 to end it early. Doing it will allow you to roll twice and attack immediately after a dodge.
6:20 coming from me personally as a viewer, i like watching you just learn stuff. i don’t mind if a guild member is the one revealing this stuff to you. just play the game however you feel comfortable. either way you’re learning new stuff and experiencing deepwoken
10:00 for the starkindred thing you need 1 player kill and then go to an upperpart of the star tree (oath related thing for linkstriders) and fight a guy called iblis, kill him and go back to the guy boom oath
Btw let me give you a tip don’t ever get scared of fighting anyone that jumps you even if they max lvl since eventually you will start to improve and when you swap orgin to vw or deepbound all the wiped builds won’t be a problem anymore since you will be maxing builds in a few hours
Hey! you probably wont see this but I reccomend trying out modifying your abilities with some sparks. most don't do anything to most abilities, but you have at least one ability that will get much more powerful as you modify it. scroll down if you want to see what it is. If you modify electro carve with a magnet or blast spark it will turn into different abilities, both of which are stronger than the base one. I'll let you see what they are!
you are more likely to read this comment but on the first part you were talking about how you were bad at parries and if you haven't figured it out then when an enemy swings pay attention to the tip of the weapon. When it shows a white glint you hit the parry button.
PvP tip: when you roll you can click right to cancel your roll so you can roll again. In pvp you can m1 roll cancel m1 and roll cancel cause most inexperienced player try parrying at the first two hits so when you m1 is delayed they miss their parry, and please do use aerial m1’s
Part 2! Really excited to see how much more you learn, I always love helping people out. Also the freshie drip is realllll- Edit: 7:10 is the location of the shrine of division, lose a mantra (ability) and gain 2 random talents. There's a bunch of other shrines you'll find, and they all have their own functions relating to your stats, talents, and mantras, so go experiment!
Can't wait to see you get an oath :D Also little tip you probably know already but leaving your boat on an island instead of despawning it acts like a spawn place if you die, so like you park your boat on lower erisia, and you die, then you can respawn at your boat, that is if you didnt despawn it
There is absolutely a lot more to the game after you get your oath. I’d explore the Depths and maybe descend further into it once your character is maxxed.
Good stuff dude, I can't play Deepwoken but your progression looks perfect, it really gives off main character vibes. This is similar to a game I started playing, Saisei; useless to say but I have no clue how to do anything, or what's going on, anyway cool video!
after getting your oath, you should try to learn overworld bosses then try Layer 2 of the depths. i won't spoil much because this is a noobs perspective, right?
yo keep up the good work i look forward to your next part in this series and i have to say you are already better then alot of the players in deepwoken so just keep up the good work.
Don't hold S while fighting be confident and trust in yourself. Be aggressive with the katana and make use of your R key, maybe try chaining your Lightning Blade with your swings.
