I agree with your initial statement, it depends on someone's lifestyle. If you commute conservatively in an average size city, and have two days off, then standard charger may suffice. But if you work in sales or have your own business that requires frequent trips, then it's not going to work. Some businesses have outlets at their parking spots, where you can also charge for free If by 2030 or so everyone will be driving an electric vehicle, then existing power grid won't be able to keep up with the increasing demand of power, as it was never designed for this. I assume that there will be unknown yet in future technologies at public charging stations where it would take same amount of time to charge, as to fill up a tank these days...
Yes I agree. EV's in general are perfect for nearly everyone, you just have to have the right charging available for yourself to make it work. The free mobile charger isn't the best setup.
