I love this pack and I think its a gem and doesn't seem to be that popular or well known. I got it because I wanted a relatively full featured pack with an attached rain cover AND the smaller thin webbing waist belt as I didn't want it to interfere with equipment I carry on my beltline while hikin' around. Works out great, I think it the best daypack I've ever had.
I have this 32 in red. Beautifull pack ...I'm glad I bought it. Very light but actually suprisingly very durable too. I have it about three years now and it's still in perfect condition. I like it so much I hope it never wears out.
It just went down from 95 to 57 euros in an end of summer sale, so I grabbed one. I has an Stratos 50. While I loved the ideas behind the Atmos with its similar ventilated back, it turned out to be horrible under load. Above 13kg it would sway and hit my back or squeak like crazy when I cinch every straps because of that slim wire support separating your back from the bag. I returned the Stratos. There was something clever about that ventilated design that just doesn't work well under heavy load. I even prefer my simplistic Talon 55 instead. But the way the Hikelite uses that wire+mesh design is absolutely perfect ! That is its optimal use, as a light daypack for just carrying the bare essentials for 24h. With just 3kg or 4kg of load it's a breeze.
I am in love with my 26 but I constantly get the feeling of needing more space. I personally like having all the secured pockets for that ease of mind that nothing is falling out. I think I'll give this one a chance. Thanks for the review!
Great review. Thank you! I'm considering buying this pack (on sale!). It seems great. Just wondering how I would attach a camera tripod. The tripod is too wide to stick in the side pocket. Thoughts? Thank you again.
@@BackcountryRenegade I just ordered manta 34. Just for the large outside mesh pocket and pocket just for hydration bladder. Gonna run it and see how it works. Thx for the vid.
An absolute waste of money. I bought this expensive useless backpack for walking in Spain in the summer. I expected it to end the sweaty back but unfortunately when you have stuff in the rucsac it presses on your back through the mesh which dies not stand off your back. Even worse are the ridiculous pockets for water bottles. Common sense would place the retaining straps at the top of the pockets but no, Isorey has them at the bottom. Utterly ineffective. Badly designed and way overpriced I’d urge you to look elsewhere. This pack is rubbish

you can use the side pocket and then the top compression strap to secure it down, and it should hold one depending on size,
Agree pros out weigh the cons. I got the hikelite 18 thinking of upgrading to this for more room.
Would be a good upgrade

@@xTRIPLExOGx I need to check that one out too. Let me know how you like it
this bag apparently has been discontinued. see the Osprey Stratos 34, slightly larger and heavier, but seems to have more features
nope, still present at osprey website, it now comes in 18,26,28 and 32 liters. And the added this mesh pocket of the back!
My airline accepts maximum only 45 cm long bags as CABIN bag. Is the RIGID part more than 45 cm ? Thank you !
Did you ever get a response to this?
Croc’s?? Are you serious ?
I don’t use crocs
