really, i deeply agree with your first point. UK has or had so much more sophisticated music culture than any other country. however, american pop culture has seeped in everywhere around the world and everyone imitates the same style and genre quite uselessly.
i know the 1 you mean mate,i got it on a few old mix tapes but sadly not on vinyl. i was gonna upload a few of the old mix tapes but the quality is not really up to scratch, good old TDK's lol . if u find a decent copy anywhere plz pm me a link ;)
Lovely stuff! There was a jungle drum and bass remix of this by DJ Ron (1996)...its called "(DJ Rons Groove Remix)"...and I have been looking for it everywhere online! It definatly needs an upload because its an absolute slammer! Please help me out someone! P.S The remix I am talking about was released by the Parousia record label...and was dropped at the labels launch party (by DJ Ron himself)....as covered by Radio One's 'One in the Jungle' programme on 15/11/1996 (DJs are Hype, Zinc and Ron)
No worries. I've only ever heard DJ Ron drop it in that set. I've found the AKA CD with the mix on Discogs. Tempted to buy it just for that song as I cant find it online anywhere. Might be uploaded after all : ). (Soulseek has every mix...except the Ron one! Crazy.)
say what you like, but the UKs taste in music, and musical heritage is amaaaaazin. And this is a is fuckin gem
