I replied earlier saying it wasn’t and that in the original it was 16th notes and in this it’s triplets, but I was wrong and it is triplets in the original lol. So it really is spot on, it’s easier to hear that it’s triplets in this as it’s more clean sounding

I remember playing with MODs* 20 years ago and doing "silly" stuff like this those** were the days.. *not those ones, the other ones **not those ones, the other ones
As a drummer I have to say that unfortunately they aren’t on point. It’s a small difference, but in the original the double kick part that sounds like a machine gun is doing 16th notes, and in this version it’s doing triplets. If doesn’t make sense I’ll explain. Other than that they’re mostly on point, missing some of the fancier details like little fills and stuff but, eh whatever,

I don't know why, but with the soundfonts chosen (especially the one used by Lethal Lava Land and Shifting Sand Land) it makes me think of some poor Koopa Troop dragging himself through an endless desert. He dies, but kept marching on forever as a Dry Bones mindlessly. He prays for the death he can never truly have, with his only hope of finding his way to a lava bath to finally end his eternal death.
