The term " Female farmers harassment" absolutely wrong idea towards our country Bangladesh. As we are agricultural country,so everyone is directly involved in agriculture. Throughout the conversation you nicely depicted female's contribution to our agro farm . Thank you guys.
hi, bbc team i found your 6 minute english the way more useful than i expected and also i managed to enhance my listening skill to 7.0 by your podcasts and also i am lisitening to two bbc 6 minute english podcasts per a day, intending to listen to all bbc 6 min podcast you have made and also happy new year....
Wow! Me too! But what a singular coincidence! Almost a resonance - that is a result of coincidence with natural frequency, that sometimes we try to find by random means. As with augmented rocking out of a quake frequency. You'd see that one too, with title "Earthquake hits Japan on New Year's Day: BBC News Review". Persecuted by evil quakes, poor people! What a scamming nature! Could it be that I became too sensible to quakes, seen the strange tricky dynamics around heredity here, and some gnawing worms around trying to upset and provoke further avoidance syndrome (psychology).
This was the second video I have watched 10 times. I am not entirely sure if this is the correct way to improve my English listening skills, but I plan to listen to this video all day tomorrow. I hope that step by step, I will understand every word.
That's a good way to learn English, not quantity but quality. After listening it a few times try to say the same words while listening it. Visulise that you are the narrater.
Today i find your channel provide audio and transcript freely, although i have watching the videos for many times. i am so amazing and happy. Thank you BBC Learning English.
I’m from Bangladesh 🇧🇩. By hearing about my countries agricultural status I feel proud.Because in many TH-cam contains I saw a myriad amount people claim who didn’t know about that country ❤❤
Hi, the BBC has taken the decision to close the app to simplify and improve its offer to its audiences. We are sorry if this is disappointing news. To find out more and to read about our new content plans for our website visit www.bbc.co.uk/learningenglish/app
Unlike in the supermarkets or groceries stores, the prices of products in the traditional markets are always fluctuate, sometimes they rose dramatically that I couldn't buy all things I want with the money i brought.
A lot of female farmers are affected by sexism. They might be underpaid for their crops at the market. However, there is an app that farmers can use to sell produce without revealing their identity. For example, if one thing they sell at the market for 30 Taka, they can receive 32 to 33 Taka (about 30 US cents) using the app. A few cents seem very little, but as vegetable prices fluctuate, the few cents can make a big difference. The average monthly revenue of the farmers that use the app has risen dramatically, proving that this method works. However, it is usually the men who control the household finances. In this case, female coffee growers in Peru have a solution to access finance. They started a savings and credit union. Nearby farmers chip in, and if one needs money, they can lend funds to each other.
Oh man, this one's been incredible tricky, sometimes i can grasp all but this time unfortunately i didn't grasp nearly anything, it's a bit frustrating to be honest but i won't give up, i'll stick at it.
i met you with finn and catherine 1.5 years ago in college they have special place in my heart :)) but neil and beth are also very sweet people @@bbclearningenglish
I m from Peru and never heard about this because that doesnt happen, this is totally false; even in countryside markets women along with men sell their stuff and get the same money for equivalent vegetables/animals. also men dosent control the money at home its usually the opposite, with respect to the savings in credits (chancha as know here) is very common but to men and women alike especially within low income people and has nothing to do with sexism but to bank requirements. You re not going to fix the world because you have no idea how it works, stop spreading lies.

5:24 how ironic that a video about sexism uses sexist language in the explanations.

Honestly speaking, tomato is a berry, not a fruit
Really?
@@ani3730 yes)
All types of berries are fruits
Really??
Tomatoes are vegetables, the only reason they're compared to fruits is their low pH level compared to other vegetables
