It has always been very weird to me that they left things like that out. It's like they all of a sudden forgot what it is that makes Nintendo's products iconic. I'm not sure how true this is, but I remember reading they simplified the design of the homescreen etc. due to using a graphically limited development software based on preventing security breaches. I guess nobody at Nintendo expected the Switch's biggest enemy to be a fucking paperclip.

I suspect this functionality, is exactly WHY some popular 1st party Wii-U games were mysteriously not ported to switch1, is because many years ago, they read all my spammed posts on various platforms, clamoring for this “dual-screen when in the face-up-dock” feature…. … and thought; “why yes, we can resell ALL our beloved 3DS & Wii-U games in their full functionality, for full retail price…genius.”
The “c” could mean “custom”, where you can attach different Nintendo peripherals like a camera, stylus or anything else and that button would adjust to the peripheral.

If the Switch 2 can communicate wirelessly to the new dock, then you could just hit the "c" cast button and play DS games by having the main top screen casted to your TV while the switch is in your hands and has the bottom utility screen on it... Basically a Wii U situation for select DS, 3DS and Wii U games.
It probably just stands for "control/controller" so Nintendo can make more money selling a special gimmick controllers to increase profit. Or maybe (as my gut says) the "c" stands for "connect" for connecting to either TV, internet, or Bluetooth devices. Yeah, it has to be "connect."

I’m pressing X for doubt on Wii games for one reason, no one knows how it’s going to work with internal storage. It’s not going to work if the app / emulator needs to download all the games, this is how it works with every platform emulator today. They’ll have to engineer it differently, probably even Gamecube.
There's a reason there's a second one, that it is a capture button because I've been playing for so long with my family with it and realized. Hey I got the joycon with the home button. I can't take a capture of this funny moment so many times I am almost a hundred percent sure that is what is.
But also, it is rumored and take this with a grain of salt. I have no connections in the industry. I have only heard this from the internet, so it could absolutely be someone lying but supposedly, there is a system in place where you can stream your gameplay to your friends.
My focus has been more on the divot next to the USB C port at the top that matches the same connector for the joy-cons. If I had to guess there are 3 magnetic attachments. 2 joy-con and 1 accessory. The extra button maybe to control accessories.
This company still stands to be one of the most innovative ones out there compared to others whose only saving grace these days are the is popular gaming titles for most part.
@millabasset1710 nintendo literally revolutionised handheld gaming that was more affordable, ds showed everyone how touch screen for gaming slays even before smartphones were first launched (and it was the first device to have a voice recognition & many other festures way ahead of its time and i can say that as someone who once owned it), i dont know of any other company thats talked about immersive & interactive gaming before nintendo... and all this is just the tip of an iceberg in this argument.
I expect that the reason for the thicker dock might be that the dock will have additional processing compared to the Switch 1 dock that's essentially just a glorified HDMI+charging dongle. This new dock will enable better graphics in docked mode utilizing more capabilities for someones TV screen and entertainment system (the handheld obviously doesn't need that much power because of the small screen and less serious gaming nature in mobile mode). I could actually see Nintendo releasing a surprisingly powerful machine with more open nature responding to the growing competition (soon also from Xbox) and I assume the Switch 2 will support a wider range of more demanding games such as COD/Cyberpunk and potentially even GTA 6. Especially if a GTA 6 support would happen, this would be very big and a huge selling point since that way the Switch 2 would be the only device that you can locally play GTA 6 on the go. In terms of software/UI I could imagine that Nintendo intentionally designed the Switch 1 software this dull and boring so that they have a bigger difference with the Switch 2 and have more selling points. I hope that Nintendo will go back to what they were known for by giving us a fun system software with many features and gimmicks and finally giving us a browser and apps like TH-cam, Netflix and co. I hope they bring back things like Street pass and give us new engaging ways of connecting and communicating with others. I'm sure that many miss this wholesome and more inviting/immersive world of Nintendo and are fed up with the lifeless and depressing Switch software.
Magnets are bad for hard drives specifically, as they use a rapidly spinning magnetic disk. Modern tech uses SSD’s, not hard drives. Which is why you can have things like magnetic phone holders
Dlss does not do frame generation as well, Nvidia frame generation is locked to the rtx 40 series cards. I own a rtx 30 series and use dlss all the time, it doesn’t double the frame rate but it can help alot. Unless nvidia is making a new frame generation that would work on gtx series cards i can 1000000000000% guarantee any frame gen the switch 2 might have would be FSR frame gen even then they would have to use FSR 3.1 to allow for frame gen with other upscale methods. I really like the video but little things like saying dlss adds frame generation as well adds an expectation to the consumer that realistically wont be met.
