    I love these ideas. The snow is too heavy for my taste, but then, I live in Florida! 😊

    I just saw this and i love it. I have always liked the look of abandonment. Creepy and cool at the same time. If it wasnt frowned upon i could live in something like this.

    Forget about my 💅🏻 cute nail room idea... now I want to make it an *abandoned nail room* Hahaha! I love the aging process! It seems so relaxing! ♥ Jenny

      Aging miniatures really is a lot of fun. You could do one side all pretty and the other side abandoned. That would look cool.

    Hahahaha I had the added entertainment while watching this video, with my house painter hubby peering over my shoulder completely bewildered at why anyone would intentionally create such a paint effect. Not surprising I guess since it's normally his job to make things that look distressed like that, look brand new again lol. The liquid latex looks like so much fun! When you were stretching and peeling bits it kinda reminded me of when I was a kid I would smear glue on my skin and have fun peeling it off again once it dried. I KNOW I wasn't the only kid who loved that lol

    • @queencityminis
      @queencityminis  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's so funny 🤣
      You were not the only one who did that! I'd spread Elmer's Glue across the back of each hand and on my face and peel it off. My goal was to try to get it to come off in one piece.

      @@queencityminis OMG it was SO satisfying to get the glue to peel off in big sheets! Good times, cheap entertainment! lol

    I'm sure I have liquid latex somewhere in my huge hoard of craft stuff. I am thinking of making an old stable building that has a feed room part which is one kind of place I would expect to find peeling paper, I dont want it too mouldy but just enough to suggest an ageing farm building. I think this will work well and I think the trim would work well too.

      @@queencityminis I don't want to sound patronizing, but you have learned the editing and voiceover skills to the best advantage. Your voice over is just the right balance between professional and "friends chatting over a cup of tea". Very appealing while being direct and very informative. Thank you! That blue paint is my new favorite. I bought it from Model Color thinking I could use it to make copper verdigris but it isn't the right tone for that. It was a happy accident though. I also used it on my latest Dollar Tree furniture makeover

    Ever since I saw Abandoned Miniatures use the liquid latex technique, I've wanted to try it. But how you're doing it looks even more amazing, with the latex pushed around before painting over it! Never thought of that. Thanks for this great video, I can't wait to see what you do next with this diorama. :)

    • @queencityminis
      @queencityminis  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you so much! I accidentally discovered the technique to push the latex around while it was still wet. I was being impatient and checked if it was dry and it wasn't. Then I realized I liked the effect 😆

    • @matishtar
      @matishtar 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@queencityminis Ha! So sometimes impatience pays off, lol. Usually my impatience just makes me ruin things (is that glue dry? **everything breaks** NOPE), but you just discover brilliant ideas! 😄

    • @queencityminis
      @queencityminis  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@matishtar 😂 I am so impatient. I use my heat gun to quickly dry things most times and I never wait for glue to dry. I edit out anytime I knock something to pieces bc of my impatience.
