The perfect trip for a sense of freedom 🥲
It really is. Iceland is fantastic!
Beautiful country iceland
Definitely is!!!
When traveling Iceland a decade ago we never made it to the east coast, so much to see and do in the south and northwest. Thank you for this video, I long to go back to Iceland and will definitely explore the east and north.
Yes there is so much to see literally everywhere. We were so long in Iceland and still had to skip a few things I initially had on my list. But I can highly recommend to tune in for the next episode if you have not been to the east yet, because there are really some awesome roads to come!
Lea, another great video! The drone footage is amazing 🤩 Thank you for sharing. 😊
Thank you for riding to the east of Iceland with me!
beautiful sceneries, amazing views and specially "In A Red Dress On The Black Sand" was amazing.... Thanks .... Beautiful Lea......

Again, Thank you Lea for bringing the beauty of far off places to us. 😊
Ah, what a breath of fresh air your videos bring.
Thank you, yet again! So beautiful despite the fog. I await with baited breath!
Thank you for joining again!
Great video thank you very well done thanks for taking us along cheers to ya.
Thank you for riding east with me!
Thank you GOT2GO ❤😊
Thank you for watching!!!
Absolutely a stunning ride. Thank you
Thank you for joining!
It looks like perfect scenery to me.
I like walking through woodland but when I'm driving, I like water, hills/mountains and rolling plains. Trees near the road just seem to get in the way.
Yes, trees are always tricky for the views! And I definitely agree, I am a forest person 100 percent, but when riding it’s so nice when all of a sudden you are above the tree line or they open up and you get these amazing views!!
The scenery looks very beautiful! Safe travels. Thank you for making thus video. ❤
Thank you for joining the ride through Iceland!
Breathtaking is the best word that I can use for this amazing video Lea! The audio and video quality is so superb, I get the feeling that I am right there with you! 👏
Thank you so much! I am happy you liked this trip to Iceland’s east!
the red dress captions are legendary!!
Heart touch feeling❤❤❤❤
Thank you for the nice comment!
Guten Abend Lea,
Beautiful landscape as ever. The beauty of loneliness; I mean nobody to disturb you, just you and the landscape, the wind, the water streams and some small animals; I love it.
€250 is ridiculous; I would expect a suite for that amount of money.
I remember those grey clouds. We were to visit a famous island of birds in Norway. We couldn’t see for more than 20 meters and we saw no birds at all. It was very cold and wet too (mid summer).
Since you missed out the birds in Norway - i will show you such lovely birds in the next episode! Will be such a joy!
Beautiful photography, you sure do a great job love your videos
YAY!!! NEW VIDEO!!! Miss you
Always here each week!
Thumbs up for the cool Iceland riding"
Hi Lea Welcome…👋👋👋

Great Video.
Thank you!
Hi Lea. Thank you for another stunning and beautiful episode.
What a remarkable country, and I look forward to the rest of the journey.
I hope you and your family are all well.
Safe travels. ❤
Thank you so much! Iceland is really a gem!!!
😵💫😳😱 Bringing sleeping bags, tarps and a few sticks pays a gazillion times over in Iceland! Man, these prices are insane! 🧐
It's obvious why people keep coming there, though. 🤗🤩
Iceland is expensive but also not unaffordable, she just wasn’t being a smart traveler and booking her accommodations well in advance. I went in 2021 for the first volcanic eruption and the trip didn’t cost nearly as much as I had budgeted for.
2021 was also the year after Covid, you can’t quite compare the 2021 travel realities to the 2023 ones, no matter where you go.
Definitely does! This is probably the only thing I would change if I would go to Iceland again. But also at that time of the journey with being 6 months pregnant and already having problems to get out of a normal bed I was not so super keen to sleep on a cold floor in a tent if I am honest. 😅😅😅
@@Got2Go ok that’s even MORE reason to book ahead of time and not do everything on a whim. You’re approach to travel is like this weird spiritual thing when most people, for budgetary reasons, should be pragmatic. Pragmatism doesn’t mean not having fun, it means you’re not getting ripped off.
Beautifull!
Thank you!
Lea , you seem to be suggesting that next weeks video is even more spectacular, how is this possible ? 😁🇬🇧
That’s how Iceland is. I don’t want to say too much, but I think that it will get more and more spectacular each episode (with maybe one or two exemptions due to terrible weather…)
Hello Lea :)
Hello back! Welcome to the east Iceland trip!
Only € 250 for a splendid accommodation. Lea is enjoying the life of the famous and rich 😄.
The fact that she didn’t plan a single accommodation well in advance for a travel vlog is probably the most absurd thing I’ve ever heard in my life.
Definitely doing my best! 😂
Do you have a bit too much time on your hands? You commented about 5 times how stupid you think my way of traveling is - I think everyone on here heard your opinion meanwhile.
Beautiful video again, but can you explain the red dress?
What? You don't know the red dress? Watch the first videos or read her first book. Then you will understand ❤
@@Wupperbandit369or you can be a good person and just tell him the significance. If I knew I’d tell him I just literally don’t even care to know 😂
So the red dress has been with me on every journey that I did since 2016, including my worldtrip. I always think it’s nice to carry a dress because you never know where you end up in the end of the day - sometimes it’s some festivities in India or a crazy wedding that you need to be able to be dressed accordingly. Because it was the only dress I had with me on my world trip it of course turned out to be on many pictures - so I guess it became kind of a signature thing. And also, like the people who read my book know, this dress has experienced a lot of funny and interesting stories and actually even caused them. So this dress has kind of a life by itself.
Meanwhile it’s unfortunately more rugs than a proper dress, but I still take it to every journey and try to take it out at least once!
@@Got2Go thank you, I was curious and I like it. 👍
Ok Lea ☕🌹
Hello! 🙌🏻
Tschuss 👌🏍️
Lea - We're loving these Iceland videos. However, we do have problems seeing many of your drone shots. The land is often too dark to see. We could barely see you in the red dress!
Really? I always try to put the color and brightness up so that it’s still visible! Will look out more for the adjustments in the next episodes!
alcuni alloggi in islanda sono ridicoli, ne ho trovato uno simile al tuo a vik per 140€
Someday you'll have to explain to me the story behind your red dress 😁😁
💗🤗💗
Thanks for coming along again!

Did you have a "Happy marriage cake"? ;-)
Wow you are the second one asking this - I have never heard of that! 😂😂😂😂
@@Got2Go I just knew about it, because you filmed it in the Café. 🤗
Lack of lodging: Did you visit during a popular time of year?
Yes in the absolute main season between July and August!
Yeah don’t be her and actually book your accommodations in advance and you won’t have any of the problems that she did.
would you give your visiting month
ระวังนะ...อย่าไปใกล้ ที่ภูเขาที่กำลังประทุลาวานะ เป็นห่วง......
Greetings from another waffle lover😅. The video was great👍🤗
Waffles for the win! 😍😍
How many kilometers or miles does your tenere have?
Good question and I actually don’t know! 😅
Maybe about 30.000-40.000 km? Not as many as you would think because the other long trips in the USA I did on the American Tenere, in Oman I rented a bike and so on…
Hallo kannst du mir sagen wo ich dein Auf Deutsch kaufen kann?
I'm a definite waffle lover! 😃
They are the best! Especially waffles while riding motorcycles!
I don’t understand how someone can make an entire series like this for TH-cam but not have the forethought to book accommodations in advance. Like this is literally your job. Of course you’re going to get price gouged at €250 a night, you did that to yourself.
This is simply not how I have ever traveled. I never travel booking things in advance or having a set schedule and itinerary. This would restrict my sense of what it means to travel way too much. I like to spend more time in an area if it feels like there is more to explore than I thought initially- or skip other parts because they are more boring to me than expected. Besides of Iceland I never had any problems traveling like this anywhere in the world (and I think I can say that I have been to a good amount of countries meanwhile) - so prebooking is not anything that I would consider as necessary.
Even if I would do the Iceland ride again, I would btw not change anything, because for me being super restricted on places to stay and where I have to be in the end of the day would take away my complete joy. But that’s why I can’t go to such expensive and booked out destinations this year. 😂
The only thing I maybe would change is bringing camping gear, because this would make a difference in Iceland - but also this trip with being 6 month pregnant was not the time where I was super keen on sleeping in the cold and freezing my ass off.
Noraly doesn’t often pre-book either but she always finds somewhere for the night….Good luck to Lea & Noraly.
I’m guessing you’re an ‘armchair adventurer’ (like me!)…..if you disagree with Lea so strongly don’t watch!
It’s called an adventure so who knows exactly where you will end up. I always book around about 2pm when I’m touring . Who needs structure when you’re adventuring. Live life
@@Got2Go I get what you’re saying, but this just isn’t a smart way to travel. Iceland isn’t cheap and normal people on budgets can’t travel like this. By booking everything on a whim and just winging it you’re literally paying double the amount of money you’d normally pay. This isn’t a smart or sustainable way to travel for 95% of people. I remember doing Iceland in 2021 and despite having an itinerary of places we were staying, I never felt restricted. I always woke up with a sense of “I wonder what this part of Iceland that I’m driving to today will be like”. If I didn’t prebook my hotels and car rental my trip would have been €4000+ but because I booked everything in advance I spent around €2500. Again, I understand what you’re saying but I don’t feel like having a “loose” itinerary is restricting because it allows you to keep things moving along while also seeing as much of a country as you can. For example, you skipped over Akureyri like it was nothing but we stayed there for a few days and used it as a base to see literally all the same places you saw in North Iceland including other places that you didn’t even get to, like Husavik for the whale watching. Just because we had a base for a few days didn’t mean we couldn’t be spontaneous. We still had complete freedom to go and adventure anywhere in north iceland during the duration of our time in Akureyri. I feel like it’s possible to balance having adventures and still having some kind of structure or inkling of where you’re going just by doing a tiny bit of planning beforehand. You’re treating traveling like some kind of hippy dippy new age spiritual thing where absolutely no forethought is given to the trip while I think (for budgetary reasons) most people should do the research, see what parts of the country excite them, and plan and book accordingly while giving themselves some extra time for special day trips for adventures. If we all traveled the way you did in this video we’d all be broke and wouldn’t be able to travel anywhere else for the year. 🤣
@@Mick_English well I guess you must be rich then. Enjoy paying literally double 🤷🏻♂️
Red dress drone shots severely underexposed.. not the standard we are used to from you! Must do better!!! (School report).
