Let me leave my opinion here, I said "opinion" don't come at me. Firstly I will start by saying SA hip-hop has been amazing, even more than that in the past decade or so but then times changed and whatever... which also mean in someway SA hip hop has to change too. I feel like what's lacking the most in SA hip hop is producers as a whole, also including artists that produce for themselves. Producers are there but then they are all scared of evolving or what, I don't KNOW. I highly believe having producers who are not scared to experiment or highly skilled producers will revive the state of SA hiphop and probably help upcoming artist make it in the game. Now the beats sound the same as old beats and the beats that sound different they are all under produced somehow, it's very confusing. Today in order for a hiphop song to pop now is either a well know producer is on it or 2 or more hiphop artists are on the same song. Someone might say Arecce doesn't need features to pop, yeah true, but then Arecee has a large fan base probably the biggest fan base in Africa including amapiano artists. No one can compete with bruv. But him too, his sound has been the same ever since I don't know when but then he is Arecce, he is happy where he is with his career I guess. REMEMBER EVERYTHING I'VE SAID IS JUST MY OPINION, ANGILWI WITH ANYONE.😂
You're entitled to keeping quiet as well if you're not well informed. The game has evolved completely from the golden era yabo Teargas, Khuli Chana & Jozi and them. The beats are banging, the game is evolving constantly. And A-Reece's sound clearly evolved since he had a regime change with his team. P2 is very different from his previous work. I do see where you're coming from though, asilwi like you said, I just see the game is more than what it was before. Which is good.
