Posted 2 years ago. I just now found your channel because my tomato plants are about 2 feet tall now, and I wasn't sure how to prun them. Awesome, thanks.
First time ever having a raised bed. My tomato plants are HUGE right now. Never knew I could trim them. Awesome info!! I just trimmed my squash plants after watching another one of your videos, so you're a life saver my man!!
Love gardening and I am thrilled that someone as young as you are into gardening. Thanks for sharing. I am 69 and love to gardening
I took a few of my pruned pieces earlier in the season and rooted them. I now have more tomatoes coming on from those cuttings. :)
Tomatoes are the easiest to clone. I do every year and it saves on seeds and space.
I was just thinking of this
Wow, thanks guys!! I’ll be doing this to give plants to family friends (:

I one of those afraid to prune on my tomato plants. Any of my veggie plants for a fact. I feel more confident seeing how you do this. Going to try it today!
It took me some courage to prune all those lower leaves. But,I did it.Looking forward for the results! Thanks and greetings from Sapporo,Japan.Cute pup♡
Great video. 👍 I'm headed out to my garden right now and have a pruning party 🥳 Thank You.
My first time growing tomatoes , thanks you
Thank you so much for this information! I am going to prune my tomatoes and squash first thing tomorrow morning! I started my garden last month after my brother built me a raised garden bed. It’s been years since I’ve had a garden…I’m so excited, and have loved every moment. I also planted cantaloupe, peppers and other veggies…some in planters. My squash and cantelope are doing great, but I notice some of the leaves are turning. I’m not sure if I’m watering too much or not enough. But we will figure it out! I’m searching for more of your garden tip videos! Again, thank you! 😁
Great video, short & to the point
New subscriber here. Excellent content presented short and sweet.
OMG I LOVE HOW U EXPLAINED THIS.....MY FIRST YEAR DOING TOMATOES 🍅....I WATCHED ABOUT 5 VIDEOS ABOUT THIS AND THEY LEFT ME CONFUSED 😕....I WILL BE WATCHIN YOU NOW....😊😊😊
Thank you for the inspiring video , yes I believe when I prune my tomato I get more yield.😊😊
Thank you so much, i just planted my first tomato plant in the pot. Man I definitely will follow your video.
My tomato plants are taking off and looking like the Amazon. I’ll try pruning them like this. Thank you!
Great information,…. Watching from Kentucky “ The Bluegrass State “ … great Job my friend
I am so thankful I found you. I was very leary about pruning that high up, but thought the same...the water and nutrients need to go to the top and not all the leafy green at the bottom. First year we are self sustaining. So important for us to do well this harvest
Im in a Vietnamese neighborhood where everyone grows all types of fruit and greens that I have never seen so when the tomato came up after watering the hedges from the water we keep from the kitchen Id say that's a win win now I'm staking them as they are growing like weeds , love your channel Alan Thomas
Loved your zucchini squash and tomato tips Thx for making it so simple
Thank you for the video. At least I am not scared of pruning my tomato plants and I am seeing positive results. 👍
I just started growing maters this yr. As an arborist, I did prune off lower sucker growth. I was hesitant to prune to much, but clearly it's OK to do. Thx man, from nj!

Thank you so much for your helpful tips!

Great video amigo . Thanks for share your great knowledge.
Thx! Great content and short and sweet
I support your passion in agriculture. Well done.
You are doing a great job
Great info and presentation! Need something like that about eggplants and for a beetles. Thanks...
I'm starting a garden. This information is soo awesome. thank you for your time
I thought I saw that pup in the background. So cute.
Hi, I'm a new subscriber and I just love that you do short and to the point videos! I already feel like I have learned so much out of the few that I have got to watch so far. 🙂 You probably already know this tip, but I thought that I would put it anyways...you can take the branches that you are cutting off and stick them in water and they will start to root and then you have a new tomato plant that you can plant.
Thank you so much for watching and for taking the time to leave a thoughtful comment! I'm gonna make some more vids soon! 😀
Thanks for the tip!
Very helpful and good advice.Peter O
Love your videos I’ve already learned so much…can you do one on how to care for strawberry plants?
I’ll be doing this today. Started last night.
Very good information and good presentation, thanks for verifying!
Love your videos.
Ok just for Jackson and great information- I subscribed
Great and informative video. I had to subscribe. Holding it down for NC.
Have never cut the lower leaves off of my plants....will certainly start this year. Thanks for the tip...
Geat video. How to make labels. Get a vinyl window blind cut in half. Then make your labels. One blind makes a gallon...
Just ran out and pruned my one tomato plant, tore up a tee shirt for tie backs and staked it. So
proud of myself! I’ll let you know about my harvest. Also have 3 yellow squash and 3 bell pepper plants going. I’ll check out your other videos. I live in Washington state so if there are modifications, could you let me know? For one, I don’t have to water as often as in the South.
I live in Washington state too. Yacolt Washington which is north of Vancouver. The problem we have with tomatoes are cold weather and rain causing the blight. My neighbors use a tent like greenhouse to extend the growing season.
Watched your video...stopped when there was roughly 5 more mins to it...went out to my container tomatoes and PRUNED since tomato production has been 'suckeevoo'!...came back inside...and then worried through those last 5 mins that maybe I had missed something about NOT aggressively pruning tom plants that are 5 & 6 ft high. 😄😄😄
Have also tied some thicker branches to the front porch railing now since the stakes aren't enough anymore. 🌱🌱🌱to 🌳🌳🌳
I thought container gardening would be easier. Lol.
🤣 sounds like you did everything perfect 👌 yep, tomatoes can be a lot of work no matter where they're grown!
Thanks for this video, kudos!
I love growing Tomatoes. It's my favorite Vegetable and then Cucumber is next. In the off season, I really like from time to time buying V-8 Vegetable Juice because of the Tomatoe in it. I got some Parks Whoppers and Rutgers growing now. They are looking good.
Thank you for sharing this video
Hi Jackson
Love the video on pruning tomato plants. I would love to see what fertilizer is best for my tomato plants… Thanks
All right mate,Very good and smooth explanation..keep up the good work..👍
I’m loving your videos. This COVID situation has me hanging out at home and, for the first time in many years, taking vegetable growing seriously. I’ve had good success with zucchini, thanks to your great advise on pruning. I’ve also really enjoyed growing cucumbers and tomatoes. I’d appreciate some advise about growing cucumbers. (I’m dialing in my recipe for cucumber, tomato and onion salad. So good!) I’m making plans for next year. I see myself happily spending the winter looking through “seed catalogs” and planning the 2021 growing season. (I’m thinking tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, summer squash, various greens, and God knows what else might fit.) I look forward to any advise you might have during that time. Again, I’m loving your videos. They are short, sweet and right to the point, the kind of videos I’d return to for a refresher. Well done, sir!
Jackson, I subscribed! Jackson's dad, thank you.
This was so helpful, thank you!
i would love to see more on tomatoes and cucumber
This is my first time planting in raised beds. Thanks for helping with staking and pruning the tomatoes. Also, this video showed how you are growing your cucumbers. Do you have advice on yellow straight neck squash in raised beds?
Thanks for your advice 👍
ROSES PLEASE!! Awesome vid -- thank you!!
Thank you very much, this is my first year of growing tomatoes and I try to gather as many info as I can , specially on pests and bugs that s what I m worried
Hey! You're fantastic to watch! Please do a follow up on those young plants so we can watch the progress of pruned plants. Thanks.
Another great thing I will try.
