ASMR Auditory Processing Exam (headphones and whispered ear tests)

- For the headphones fans, the fun sounds start at 06:36. After a short questionnaire and a check of the ears it's time to put the headphones on and listen to some whispered numbers and words. Away from the headphones there are some word pairs to listen to, some clicks and a tuning fork. I had so much fun making this video, which was inspired by a fantastic video I watched recently by the rather wonderful@ShiverMeTingles - check out her content!

Sirimiri does a very professional and soothing ASMR presentation. Her voice level and tone is perfect in my opinion. Some ASMR presenters are extremely difficult to follow. In some cases many of their words are inaudible. I love the way Sirmiri sometimes pauses a bit after some of her comments then stares directly into the camera. Reminds of a teacher I used to have. She used to leave me wondering what I had done wrong. LOL !!!!

Hi, your videos are awesome. Is the audio edited in after? Apologies if this is a rude question but i just had a feeling it was and was curious.

It’s recorded separately. I used to hook my mic up to the camera but there was quite a lot of background noise which people didn’t like so I do them separately now. It’s why a couple of my videos in January were wonky as I was getting used to syncing them up (one is usually a few frames behind the other) but I think I’ve pretty much got it now. I am completely self taught with all of this so it will never be perfect but the sound is certainly better than it was.
I believe there is technology that would allow you to isolate sounds from video which could possible reduce the amount of work you have to do. It may even be in some newer phones.
While i like background noise, i understand how many people would not like it and appreciate your effort to remedy it. Thank you for replying.

I had no trouble with hearing both phrases at the same time during the headphone test, but I didn't know what you were saying with that filter 😅
There’s quite a bit of white noise with the headphone effect so it can sometimes be tricky!
The headphone audio reminds me so much of the Bioshock audiologs

Personally? No. As an ASMRtist? I think sometimes you need a simple background so you can concentrate on the foreground so I often favour them.
