I can understand it’s difficult but please don’t get demotivated like that
I came to Canada last year and I know there is a difference between the type of visa you hold
    But stay positive
    It will be all fine
I also have my channel too and it’s a great platform to share your experiences
    Good luck

Hello, please tell me honestly, is is worth coming to Canada for just work?
If not, then what is the alternative option to work in Canada.
Also, let me know possessing which visa will allow me to work in Canada?
      Thanks in advance.

Swati Dhunna exactly what I thought, if you are being positive, everything is possible, and also not everyone gets a bad experience, and most people give really good reviews, so I’m surly looking forward to go to Canada 😍

I was a PR holder of Canada too, but i returned back to my home country India. I am forever thankful for the Canadian government that they gave me and other immigrants an opportunity to explore this beautiful country.
    1) Expensive Real Estate
    2) High Insurance
    3) Extremely Cold weather (looks fancy in pictures, but when made to stand in -20 degC for 5 minutes, u can hear the bones cracking).
    4) Culture - Just missed my Culture - All the festivities (Diwali, Ganpati, Holi)
    5) Jobs & Salary - Mostly jobs are in retail and food outlets. Most of the companies (like Tesla, Walmart, Google etc) are US based with no HQ's in Canada. So one cannot compare the opportunities in US to Canada
    6) Family, Friends
The above views are personal, and have no intentions of influencing your decisions. The only good thing that happened during my stay was nice Canadian people (all races), who were extremely extremely kind. I met people of European Origin, Carribean Origin, Indian, Middle Eastern & Chinese. They made my stay pleasant. Thank You Canada, love and respect. Given a chance, i will surely visit the place again but wont think of settling.

Mr Stark, let me tell you few things that might help you in future:
    1) focus less on youtube and more on job search
    2) stop trying hard to do accent, you seem fake and many employers refrain from hiring such people
    3) your video is the most annoying thing on youtube, there are a lot of part time jobs for students and you just need to work hard on your resume and cover letter
    4) problem with you is you think you have become an expert on Canadian job market analysis, stay away from youtube and do us all a favor by not making any more videos

    • @IzhanStark
      @IzhanStark  5 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    Cool video, appreciate the info.
Pro tip, have a proper mindset. Dont settle for jobs you don't want to do, go out network and it will give you leads for jobs. It's just a matter of grinding it out. Average income is around 50-60k a year so you can easily find a job with 15-20 a hour during college leading to higher paying jobs when you graduate. Also don't choose a normal degree, choose specialization.
Also, another protip - you're absolutely right in sales experience. If you're good in sales you'd succed in North America. Just gotta have the guts to go out and sell. I've had friends who make 4-8k a month while being students with low hours and just commissions. If you show around everywhere and people start to recognize you they will give you work. It's a wonderful opportunity out here, have a positive mindset you'll get so many jobs here.
P.S. try to go in Provinces which have developed cities, Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver to start, you'll find tonnes of jobs.

The social security in Sweden is one of the best.

Also I think to get even part time work permit, we should wait min 6 months. And if your gpa go below down 3 and that can happen easily you will loose work permit. Not sure this rule is still up there but when I was in Canada we had this rule.

I think students in general are making big mistake.....running after these useless jobs, working in Walmart, Tim Hortons, Macs , 7/11, Gas stations and some even in call centers. Hear me out, I am trying to make important point here.
Students when they come to Canada or US, usually its big investment. Taking loan from parents or bank is the usual way, that needs to repaid. Are you going to repay it working minimum wage?
Smart thing is when you are taking loan, why not take little more of the loan and finish off your Masters, Bachelors early. I have seen students doing Masters for 3 years, taking breaks, slogging minimum wage, taking one course a semester. That means you could have hit the job market in half the time, instead you have been working on minimum wage for one and half years, the time you could have gotten some actual experience in a industry.
If you get co-op, internship which gives you actual industry experience, then its a different matter. That builds your resume, gives you contacts, gives you a leg up in jobs search after the studies. Then it's absolutely fine, slow down your studies and go for it, working in Walmart and Tim Hortons, those are total waste of your precious time, do not add anything to the resume. Even experience as a GA or TA have limitations, when you go to industry they look for real world experience.
