    Grooved Slick always has the best lap guides on the web! I look for your guides specifically every week

    This guide was so useful, I wish I would have found it sooner. I am hoping for new lap guides for this week! These are amazing guides, I hope you continue with these.

      Thanks! I put in a 1:20.5 around Road ATL but i haven't had a chance to record the voice over yet. Stay tuned! haha

    Got to race this for the first time last week, might be my favorite track so far. So much fun, and managed to pull out a 1:22.4 in quali once thanks to this guide! Def need to work on race consistency though this track punishes slight mistakes so heavily.

      Thats awesome to hear! Yeah, laguna is super unforgiving and really challenges you mentally over a full race. Don't worry though everyone makes plenty of mistakes around here.

    As a VR guy (Rift S) your visual markers are very useful

    Great guide. I'm a little concerned about running F4 on this track in the lower splits, we'll see how the week goes.

    • @GroovedSlick
      @GroovedSlick  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Definitely get that, I think really in any split the first 10 laps are about survival and after that you can start to think about racing. Qualifying up front will be really important and you'll just have to try to get lucky to avoid the mess in the andretti hairpin on L1

    Thanks for the guide, the clicking and audio was a little distracting but i appreciate you taking the time to make this.

    • @GroovedSlick
      @GroovedSlick  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks man! Trust me I know, I've tried like a million things to get rid of the audio defects but I just can't seem too. Let me know if you have any tips 🤙

    • @LentillionTM

      @@GroovedSlick look into noise gates, depending on what you are recording with you can set a certain noise level to where it will pick up audio. obs has this. also depending on what you are using to edit the video together there are filters for noise reduction that can seperate your voice from the background noises. the filter should literally be called noise reduction. hope this helps!

      @@LentillionTM Thanks for the tips man! I'm recording my next guide now and I'll definitely try that out. 🤙

    man ill drive 3x more conservatively than you are and STILL spin 4x per lap. i dont get how you are turning in while braking like that without spinning. it feels like if i turn my wheel half a millimeter while under braking i instantly spin

    • @GroovedSlick
      @GroovedSlick  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, thats so common in this car. My two biggest pieces of advice are to take it really easy on the first 3 or 4 laps while the tires warm up. Once the tires are warm you will have much more rear grip. And also try moving the brake bias further forward.
      Also, I have all of my data on Garage61 and you can compare all of your brake and throttle traces with mine if you install it. That can be really helpful too.

    What’s Brake bias do you all find best ?

    • @GroovedSlick
      @GroovedSlick  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I ran 55% for this lap and the races that I did. But that may be just a touch too far rearwards. It can get a little snappy on entry if youre not careful

    This speed is insane to me. I can barely break into 1:24 lol
