LISTEN! If you have problems with lag. Run SL obs as administrator! Trust me, I've tormented myself many times finding an solution. Usually when the gpu reach 90%+ you have lag, you need to run OBS as an administrator! Click right > Run as administrator! I hope i've helped you.
I litterally have all the settings correctly, run ethernet and somehow my stream can 1 day be clean af for unlimited amount of time and then the next dat (today) without changing anything it only gets 18 frames and its impossible to stream, anyone else in the house is sleeping so i dont think its a bandwith problem either? @@sand3lz That didnt work for me. OBS Studios works worse than streamlabs in my case. OBS just gives me the black screen no matter what i change where as Studios works some days and doesnt others.
This could be a driver problem or a failing graphics card / ssd / mobo or even a virus what i would do is boot ya system up and go in to the bios and run your hardware test through the bios it will test everything once done there and confirmed its not a card starting to fail make sure all your drivers are up todate and install each driver seperatly rebooting your pc every driver update if none of this works you might need todo a full reinstal of your windows 10 via a usb i would only do this as a last resort and if that doesnt work and you still have the issues after all of this i would look in to replacing your mobo mobo btw is mother board just incase you didnt know these things do fail even when brand new there is alot of faults that are made when they are being made but if you struggle with doing the trouble shooting ur self i would hit the computer shop up and have them diagnose the problem then decide if you want to proceed with abit of luck tho you can get out of it with a max of 100 dollars for the microsoft 10 usb and if you already have one then 100 dollars more in ur pocket
This started happening to me yesterday. I literally just started streaming this summer, same settings for about a month and half and now I get constantly dropped frames out of nowhere. I'm wired in and nothing has been adjusted. It just happened out of nowhere. Frustrating.
when i dont stream on cod i get 160+fps but when I start streaming it drops and stays around 80-100fps and I use a rtx 2070 super and a i7 8700k with 32gb 3200mhz.

For some reason why I play CODas soon as I join the game and I can move streamlabs goes to like 2fps and lags like crazy. But it does not do this in the lobby or any other game and in-game I run 300 FPS and I usually stream 1080P 60 FPS in any other game easily and I can do that in COD except until the game starts IDK what to do can someone help.
@Dusty Porter I have looked into some issues before and even with tweaks i had issues. Is it safe to say that SLOBS itself could also be and issue? the reason i ask this is down to one of the Windows 10 updates that completely disagreed with SLOBS to the point i had to use Standard OBS. SLOBS did update not long after BUT At the time Disabling windows 10 game mode worked for me as well as running SLOBS in Admin to help the Processing Prio.

so I was trying to stream from my gaming laptop and I was trying to stream switch games. I have mostly just streamed natively from ps4 but recently got a capture card to attempt streaming from either my pc or my gaming laptop. I settled for my gaming laptop because it has access to 5G (side note if anyone can help me with how I could get my pc to be able to find 5G wifi I'd be grateful) but I had most of the settings you set here defaultly and my upload speed is around 46 to 50 Mbps and I drop around 93% frames constantly while playing and streaming the Monster Hunter: Rise Demo and watching the VOD the voices were completely fine but the video was freezing like it was a picture and then occasionally updating but still freezing on that. I'd like to know what specifically causes the frames to drop and if there is anything I can do about it. Any help or advice is appreciated thanks!
My upload speed is horrendous. Like sub 1MB. Can I still stream smoothly with adjusted settings in OBS? I'm speaking more towards live streaming on YT from OBS. On TH-cam itself if I want to just start a stream with my webcam, it's actually pretty smooth albeit not great resolution. But doing the same thing with OBS yields a very choppy and buffering stream.
I just started having this issue. I was able to stream Black Ops 3 custom zombies fine for months without the stream being laggy/choppy. Weird I got a pretty good computer geforce gtx 2080, i7 and 909.06mb upload with 2ms ping and yet I get frame drops when playing some games =/,

@@WickedChiLLz your processor and ram are way too low... you probably will get no lag on 144p but obviously quality will be trash

i have i7 and gtx 2060 with around 17 upload speed but for some reason it drops frames like crazy no matter what type of settings i change😭
one thing he didnt mention is try running SLOBS as Admin and try it that way can help put priority on to SLOBS instead of the game.

i changed the output to1707X720 but it made no difference it stade compressed

my bitrate drops a 3000 bitrate in my stream to sometimes even 0 and then it fixes up again after a while.

i noticed if you are over 120 fps ingame it lags my stream so try capping your fps around 120 it helped me out alot
I got the exact same problem, but I can't run any higher than 60 fps. As soon as I do so, it starts dropping frames. I would be happy at 120 :D

uhh my upload speed is over 110mbs ion know why im having problems
same mine is 345 mbs and i lag like crazy on cold war
My Upload Mbps was almost 2.00...
