In a small village in Misamis Oriental, one night of bloodshed forever alters the fates of two brothers. Elsewhere, a vengeful Saal (Sid Lucero) and his group of rebels do whatever it takes to fight for their cause. Just finished this, the first episode, and I'm hooked. I'm impressed at the cinematography that flowed seamlessly with shots that were breathtaking. Shots that collectively told a story in themselves. Whoever did the color grading knew their art superbly as it was done tastefully yet concisely without necessarily calling attention to itself. But what really caught my attention was the writing. The script was intelligently crafted with dialogues that were smart, deep and complex. Already I could tell that the series storyline is equally artistically mature and deliciously layered. Lastly, I must say that the acting was worthy of accolades. The lines were all perfectly timed and smoothly delivered there was absolutely no hint of unrealism in the way the actors crafted their art. Not a hint of "self-awareness" in any of the actors thereby transforming the audience into mesmerized observers. A rarity in both the small and big screens. Bravo, well done!
