i had this one in blue. i looked dope walking down the street while others have cheep cassette players, lol. ahead of my time. i think this one set me back $300+. made in japan. nothing in the unit is made in china. still works today. the prism battery bubbled up and i had to rip it out. now it's in a glass case in my man cave as a museum piece. flac and quad dac phone is the new player for me.
I had one of these back in the day. I sold my old MZ R30 so I could afford to buy one as I recall they were about £300 new. Amazing tech, so small and lightweight. The irony, is that my MZR 90 didn't last as long as my original player and sadly not built as well, but the sound quality was great.
Nostalgia resurrected 🤩, i had a walkman that would play cassettes..golden age of music, now sadly gone 🙏
There are still a few of us using cassettes regularly. And Minidiscs, of course.
