Hello everyone! I'm talking about some places in Taipei.
I am currently at Soochow University.
It is close to the Shilin station on the red line.
It is a private university with 6 different departments.
Sports and exercise play a big role into student life.
They have undergraduate, graduate, PhD degrees.
Soochow University’s motto is Unto A Full Grown Man.
I am currently at the Taipei Zoo.
To get here, first take the red line from Shilin Station going towards Xiang Shan.
Once you get to Da’an Station switch to the brown line going towards Taipei Zoo station.
Ride for 8 stops and you will be there.
You can see a lot of animals at the Taipei Zoo. My favorites are the pandas and the penguins. I would recommend going during the weekdays, because there are less people.
I am currently at Raohe Night Market.
To get here, first take the red line from Shilin Station going towards Xiang Shan.
Once you get to Zhong Shan station, switch to the green line going towards Song Shan station.
Ride 5 stops and you will be there.
At the night market, you can taste a lot of new foods and take a lot of pictures.
At the Raohe Night Market, my favorite food is the Honey Donut.
    You can play claw games.
I would recommend going from 5:00PM to 7:00PM, because there are less people
I am currently in 7-eleven. They are a kind of convenient store know worldwide.
7-elevens are located everywhere in Taipei.
Inside you can find lots of things to buy. You can buy snacks, drinks, and alcohol. You can also buy High Speed Rail Tickets. You can withdraw money from the ATM. This place is amazing, because of how convenient they are.
I am currently in Miramar Mall.
It is a giant shopping mall that has 6 floors. It has a large amount of cool stores inside.
It has an IMAX movie theater inside and a 70 meters tall Ferris wheel on the top.
The food court has 20 to 30 different restaurants to choose from. I recommend coming here if you have clothes you want to buy.
I am currently in National Taiwan Museum.
This is the oldest museum in Taiwan.
This museum shows a lot of both old and new animals. It has a lot of different exhibits from 5 different departments. You can come anytime because the crowds are not big.
I am currently at Taipei 101.
From Soochow University to Taipei 101, I took the MRT and didn't transfer.
Taipei 101 is a giant observatory. It also has a shopping mall inside. I would recommend coming if you want to see the city.
I am currently at Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall.
It is a national monument located in Taipei and it is surrounded by a park. Inside the building, there is a museum about the life of Chiang Kai-shek. On the top floor, there is a giant statue of Chiang Kai-shek. Every hour, there is a changing of the guard ceremony. I recommend coming this place when you come to Taiwan.

I personally went through ROTC with the DoD but there are multiple programs for civilians that go to any college or university.
This should clear up a little: www.linkedin.com/posts/baron-hendricks-a54104287_i-am-proud-to-announce-that-this-summer-i-activity-7221353071342219264-wWVQ?

If your freshman is interested in summer study abroad programs and is not in ROTC, they can look at the Fulbright Scholarship and the Boren Scholarship.
Both are Culture Exchange/study abroad opportunities for college and high school students.
