Makes me reminisce about my organ teacher when I was a 'teen. He was an old school theater organist from the silent movie era and although his hands were very crippled with arthritis, he could still crank out beautiful jazz like these from memory. Mel Noggle was his name. Sadly he passed away about a year into the lessons. Left me with fond memories and a love for jazz organ.

Me gusta la obra de Joplin y esta interpretación al órgano. Dos de mis hermanos fueron organistas en la Ciudad de México. Saludos desde Querétaro (México ). Juve Flores.

Nothing like a Wurlitzer, nothing at all!
I grew up skating to one of them, and I watched movies with underscore with another. I am delighted to hear these two numbers from Joplin!

Thank God he avoided the Entertainer and Maple Leaf rags like the plague! I especially love his choice of the Bethena rag. It has a very intriguing melody/counter melody and I have been fortunate to enjoy Justin playing it live!

There is SO MUCH MORE than the standard "Sting" numbers, although they are beautiful, there are so many more nuances to be enjoyed in the remaining (the majority of) Joplin's work!
      I am with you! ;)

The sounds of an Organ are so odd, but that's why I love listening to them! You can't find those grand tones on any other instrument.

Fun renditions. And you kept the pacing right. Too often rags are played way too fast.
