This generation don't know him. This was the man that inspire Jay Jay Okocha. He was the best in his time and very skillful. He was termed the equivalent of 3 players on the pitch. Yet youthful exuberance killed his game. A great learning point for young footballers today.

What I saw him doing in 1984/85 with Calabar Rovers, especially when he scored a goal directly from a corner kick was unbelievable. Sad that his career was flushed down the drain the way it was.

I’m glad he blames his bad choices for his misfortune. A typical Nigerian put the blame on spiritual forces and village witches.

There is SO MUCH more to Etim Esin's travails that meets the eye. From the spiritual, to, as he says his youthful exuberance, to the family and "enemies', to emotional, to ignorance on issues like this, to political (both national and international football politics) etc.this is October 2019 but I wonder if he has finally released his book. I would like to read his accounts of events..

Fortune HHH Good enough he said he was stupid and naive. That’s Etim ‘s problem because he had older players like Keshi, Eguavon, and Siasia around him as role models but he disregarded them. He even confessed that Keshi queried him concerning his lavish life. All that is history, he has to live with it. That’s the fact of life, “each person will reap what he or she sows in life by the decisions and choices we make
