For anyone who may think they have tuned into the wrong place. This was a place once called London in Gt Britain, called Gt Britain because everyone wants to live here.

yes...there is a certain pride to be had from being a Londoner. more so i think if one is of humble background...for it can be an unforgiving city at times for those that have little in the way of money. unfortuanely "our great city" is so grand as once was...it has become far too overcrowded, polluted and expensive. the divide between those at the top from those at the bottom continues to expand...and we need radical thinkers to turn the city around before it too late

I have lived in Australia for 62 years but am still very proud to be a Londoner and these pictures bring back back so many memories.

At 4' 05 - an 80a opposite Morden tube on it's way via Sutton to Walton on the Hill - many an hour I spent behind the wheel of the RF on that route - probably on that bus. No power steering but a pleasure to drive and once one man operated - a ticket machine known as the 'harmonica' - awful to use, but great times.

How enjoyable and informative. We make hires gopro walk through's of contemporary London on youtube and it's great for us to compare the difference. London is still pretty spectacular. Thank you for adding it, we've subscribed.

Nice to see the Trolleybuses and the RLH us which stood for regent low Height, on the 178from Clapton Ponds to Stratford.
They were lower than normal buses to get under low bridges.
Upstairs they had a s sunken side gang way followed by 4 seats

At 3'55" that has to be the Ilford/Barking area as the first trolleybus is of the SA class (1,2, or 3, I am not sure). They were diverted from export to London in 1943 and stayed their whole lives in Ilford 1943-1959. They were 8ft wide.

London before the developers and planner s destroyed it with their ugly apartment blocks that locals will never be able to afford, Before it became the insanely expensive city it is now,,
