We left our home in Georgia about 6 weeks ago and are on our way to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. We took a chance to spend a few nights Dinosaur National Monument, and boy, has it paid off. Where else can you geek out over dinosaur fossils and get your adrenaline fix hiking along sheer cliffs? Oh, and there are ancient petroglyphs, secluded camping spots and big incredible views. Our hike today overlooking Echo canyon was probably one of the best hikes we’ve ever done with epic views every 50 yards. Hope you girls are heading west on your next trip!

Wonderful kayaking success! Not only did you enjoy the outing, but it also felt empowering.
The ants may be so bad because you're next to the water. I remember when it flooded here in 2016 the ants and spiders came out of nowhere and were all over the outside of my house and coming in under the doors. Luckily my house is sprayed so they didn't survive long but it was awful!
I see used kayaks for great prices on Marketplace all the time. Keep your eyes open for a hard sided kayak because IMO they are 10x more fun and easier to paddle.
