Omar has always been a great actor and he's never disappointed in any of his roles. His journey from Hanging with Mr. Cooper to the №1 ESPN syndicated tv show Playmakers has been an incredible to journey to see this brother give us nothing less than 110% on the big screen everytime the camera was rolling. He's truly appreciated for being a big part of my childhood and it wouldn't have been the same without him, I Promise You That!!!!!👍😁😎👌

This is one of the best interviews of the year for me. He needs to be more on the forefront for positive black role models. He should host his own podcast or something.
Also i respect his reasons for not going gospel. As a gospel artist, there are many Christian artist who don't feel called to do gospel, but still do it for the money.. AND IT SHOWS. this is why the gospel music industry is saturated with artist that don't seem to mean what they're singing about. Not tryna condemn them, but as I examine their lives on social media vs. the music they put out I see a stark contrast.

Interesting how much more he sounds like Cuba than his Baby Boy role and even Mr. Cooper. Much more of a throwback to Wild & Crazy Kids. Also, Thea existed in a time where all Black shows got canceled ... Thea, My Brother & Me, Me & the Boys ... it was a running joke about them getting cancelled right away. Blending that in with the conversation of Thea having an aggressive reputation makes it seem like that was the reason, versus all Black shows getting the axe in the infant stages at the time.
