Ive got a 2019 VRS challenge in Nano grey. Ive changed all the badges to black, ive added yellow tint to the front fog lights. K&n air filter. Stage 1 ecu tune, dsg tune, milltek non cat exhaust, carbon fiber flappy paddles, maxton spolier with front/back diffuser, sides skirts and wireless android auto. Currently at 315bhp. Maybe ill add a aports intercooler to and a engine brace but other than that it's nearly done 👍
I had mine straight piped with a new bespoke exhaust, and now it drives and sounds so much better. I also had a stage one engine and gearbox remap. It's running 328 BHP. The car drives like a beast now, but it isn't too much.
Awesome video, car sounds a hell of a lot better after the silencer delete, just recently got a 245 VRS 2017 and I'm struggling whether I should do the delete or buy aftermarket exhaust. Danish police has upped the war against noisy vehicles with a hefty fine as well as declaring requirements of a MOT test if it does not pass the legal DB test :-(
If you were to remove the silencer it just gives off a natural roar similar to like a stock Cupra or a Golf 7 R Not completely obnoxious but a nice tone Easy fix before buying a updated performance exhaust
Is that with a middle resonator delete? been waiting to see what the EA888 sounds like, don't know whether to go for a back box delete or a resonator delete! want it to be louder but not too loud!
It’s the middle res delete. Perfect for me for now Sounds loud when on boost. No drone when cruising on motorway Next will be decat downpipe from turbo Not going to touch the back box as I don’t want it to sound like a fart machine
@@abdi862 yeah you have DSG gotta be a little careful to not have it sound awful! I think the middle res delete is gonna be how I will go, they do a GTI res delete pipe that fits my car might be what I end up doing!
Still can't find a goddamn rear muffler delete video like I did in my mk2. At least on the mk2 the noise difference is WAY more prominant than removing the resonator I'm assuming it's gonna be the same.on the mk3....
Out of curiosity, looking to get a dsg 245, and heard from stock there's no dsg farts (yes I'm an immature 40 year old 😂). Does the res delete make any difference in getting those childish farts?
You are absolutely correct Res delete only jus increased the noise at 50% throttle or full throttle but sadly no dsg bangs/fart. But for some reason I now hear a whole lot of turbo induction noise under load tho which sounds fantastic I’ll do a proper video explaining how it all sounds
It will depend on the build year of the car. . On this video I can see there is no GPF fitted just before they cut the resonator out, mine is a 68 plate so only 6 months newer but has GPF fitted. . I've got a resonator delete but it's still veryyyy quiet, booked in today for a full gpf back system with no resonators or boxes at all. . Just looked back through some of these videos and seen the one in the videos is a 230. . When the 245 came out is when gpf got fitted
@johnamydaniel yeah I did . . 🫣 it's going back in for a box adding into the system. . . Outside its not too bad but inside the cabin its very boomy and resonates alot at lower rpm's.
They are an optional extra. I have a 2019 vrs 245 in meteor grey with grey wheels. They came black or grey when buying brand new with the option of 18" or 19"
Would be nice a petrol but with the colour I wanted and the spec I got, would pay way over the odds Yessir it’s a 2.0 TSI same you would find in the MK7.5 GTI
Totally Agree. I swapped out the resonator on mine and it totally changed the sound of the car

@@abdi862 THX man I might consider doing that appreciate the reply :-)
Enjoying this channel. Got a mark 3 manual challenge and not touched a thing yet but considering options. Whats did the white box let you do?
Thank you for watching, glad to see a lot of interest in the MK3 vRS platform

what's that white device you were talking about at about 5.05?
Its the OBDeleven adaptor to code your VAG car
Does your car have a OPF/GPF?
nope

MK1 and MK2 i see a lot of really well ,modified but the MK3 not a lot,
What’s the white box do mate ?
Hi this was when it was super cold and this is condensation build up, this clears up when engine and exhaust is all up to temp

@AnotherCarGuy thanks buddy, much appreciated. To me when you start pulling away though there are slight fart sounds, probably wishful thinking

Would have been lit 🔥 if it was an estate
Tried my best to look for one with this colour and spec but could not find one within budget
thats not the OEM rims for the VRS model they are just a copy !
IF that is true they still looks better than the OEM versions in this colour combo 😂
