As the one receiving the massage, I feel the sensitivity, and tactile feel stronger than if it was fast. As a watcher, the slow speed makes it easier to sleep because it helps slow down my mind watching slower movements.

I have grown older now as most people do and I prefer the soft massage. My body cannot take the harder, deeper, stronger massage. When I do go for massages I still tend to go for the harder massages because I'm usually in a heap of pain beforehand and need a more vigorous, forensic approach. A softer massage just feels too iffy for me but I can understand why people have a preference for it. Indeed I might go the same route when I get older.
I definitely prefer a strong/deep tissue massage. I have such bad knots and stiffness from stress, work, migraines, etc. that anything less would feel like I was cheated. Nice to see you, by the way, TAM-san (lol)! It's good to see your face, I just know you by your hands! 🙂
