A heads up if you ride in the wet or wash it a lot.....There is a small open hole going directly into the rear swinging arm bearings, and it needs blocking urgently, as mine, which doesn’t get wet if I can help it was quite corroded when I slid the pivot shaft out!
If you look at the frame in front of the back tyre, level with the swinging arm bearing shaft you will see a thin long oval cut out in the frame that has a small hole in the middle!! That goes straight in to the cavity, along with all manner of crap. Disassemble clean and lube the bearings and shaft, then block the hole, or drill and tap to take a grease nipple!!
Any one know shay this hole is for on the Grom?

Do another video detailing the tail tidy you've made because the whole world needs them.

I am looking at the new monkey and the Grom. Would you recommend either for commuting to work and school? Does it work on highways - not speed but stability

Cornish Roadhog thanks for the reply. It does look like a lovely bike and being based on the Grom implies a certain level of reliability and usefulness

Surely you can only get the yoshi for this bike. The detail in the rs-3 with the bananas etc just highlights the ridiculousness that is the monkey bike. I think it’s a piece of art much like the bike, everything else takes away from it’s beautiful looks. It’s meant to be humorous so I feel any other exhaust just isn’t worth it.

michael fraser yeah I purchased mine for $5800.00 in Sydney. I think most people will likely purchase the grom when looking at mini bikes. I suppose that only helps to have a unique looking bike. I definitely haven’t regretted it, it’s been just under a year now.

  • @EZ4U2Say11

People just can’t leave well enough alone just cause someone else takes parts off they have to do it too not like you’ll be going off-road and bending the fenders . And removing factory muffler is illegal why buy a legal bike too pay more to make it illegal too pay more when you get a ticket it was designed in a way for a reason millions of dollars were spent designing them and fuckwits have too screw around with it and toss away that design smh 🤦‍♀️
