Your point on medium vs large is very interesting, i m 83kg and I actually prefer medium fins in 2 4 foot beach break, I find that the board to be less rigid and more playful, i dont really feel less speed, actually sometimes i feel smaller fins go faster with less drag on smaller waves
I'm 72kg I surf large reactors in smaller surf so much more drive and speed give it an try
GREAT review! Appreciate your approach! Literally!!! Gave me new thought to chew on! I’ll try a med!
Great format. Straight to the point and understandable for the average surfer.
Hey Man, you said that you use the neo Glass perfomer, what you think about It? Its a good fin?
Brilliant review this dude ripps 🤙🤙
Brilliant review mate, helped me loads
Going by the norm, manufacturers guides, Sam should be surfing large fins.
I'm 69 kgs and surf medium. Wonder if I should try a small template fin?
You're close to my weight, I'm riding Medium all the time, but sometimes when it's mushy/windy and kind of small I love to put a smaller centre fin to loosen things up. Small size fins for +60kg I would not recommend. Hope it helps buddy. Check this fin tutorial out: th-cam.com/video/Z8MuUZjtk_c/w-d-xo.html
Great video, I’m going to try larger fins seeing as I’m even a little heavier than you, in hopes the performer helps keep me more connected to the water :) cheers
Great video. Very helpful. :)
Good marketing 😁
I enjoyed the video
So..im 48years old .81 kilo..im good surfer.still.
My fins is reaktor?wave rang 2_6 ft
Where is this? Looks like Hollywell but don't think it is...
epic video - loved it!
Don't neo glass reactors have inside foil?
What song is dat
I use the fcs2 carvers in medium
Awesome 🤙🤙
Mick Fanning Neo Carbon Large works wonders for me 100Kg 1.84m on a 7'6" McCoy Nugget, I particularly like FCS II Carver templates, I think they trim fast and hold well.
have you ridden both the performance core and the neo carbon Fannings? I love the performance core Fannings but they do feel just a tad heavy. As in actual weight. I'm interested in the neocarbon, but I don't like my fins super soft either. Do they feel soft or does it have a pretty positive feeling to the flex?
Ciao Sam , well done can wat to surf together againg 🤙🇲🇹
What boarr you ride?
rah this guy rips
What fins? Plastic! I will never ever put fiberglass fins as side fins under my longboard again. Man, I cut my foot while turning around so bad. Plastic or I will ride my longboard in the future with a single fin.
85kg is not a big guy.
product placements suggesting plastic fins as a high performance product. great.
None of these fins are plastic. His suggestions were the PC Reactor (55% glass, 45% resin) and a Neo Glass Performer (50% glass, 50% resin), both of which plenty of pros ride. Not sure what your point is? Flex is great for smaller surf, so it's not like flex = poor performance.
Great overview of fins. That small changes in fin shape, stiffness & size can make the same board feel very different, is so true. Thanks.
