It's crazy that the "dad" wants the state to do better but he wasn't even PRESENT for his own children. He should have done better for his OWN kids. Those women had zero legal grounds for keeping him away from those kids. He could've showed up any time, and if they gave him a hard time he could call the police. He is such a coward, not a real man or real father, that's for sure

and the fact that right after his estranged wife was in jail and his minor children were in taken by the state, he wanted his oldest daughter arrested because he thought she broke into the house (after the cops broke in) and all she did was take important documents for safe keeping. Just asked how his wife was. At bare minimum, abused and neglected children should not be entrusted to a parent who neglected his duty of care and still seems to see nothing wrong with that, and had no concern when he learned of Ruby's neglect and abuse of them. The reality is that his maintaining contact with the children would have made it very difficult for Ruby to get away with what she did. Personally I think all children under age of 16 down should not be shown on the internet because of predators and the abuse of the internet system that allows to do this .

I don't think this even needs spelling out - it's too huge an outlet, and the financial ramifications simply cloud the moral wrong.

The problem is the ridiculous religiosity that includes strange practices and secrecy. Mormonism is cruel and uncaring…I know this from experience

I grew up in mormonism and agree 1000%. It's also deeply sexist against women, and (at least in my church) they repeatedly taught children from toddlerhood that "you chose your family before you came to earth, so anything that happens in your family is what you chose." Gross way to silence child victims. Child labor is also common in Utah, I started work at 8 years old.

I like that Kevin says there's too many loopholes but he didn't even call or visit the kids for a year after leaving them with an unlicensed hack. Maybe try that first before introducing legislation.

From the time she put him out of the house he should have called child services. He's as guilty as the mom for allowing this to get so far.

The last statement made - why do we need to wait for the child to be in their teens to protest being filmed? Did I miss something? If a 5 year old says they don't want to be filmed, period end!
