Now Jia, you know that your parents will go rogue even after the menu has been planned out. Remember the year of your Daddy's blueberry, strawberry and some other flavor of muffins...and your Mama's cheesecake? 😂
Also, when your cake will not release from the pan, that usually means that you left it sitting too long. Turn cakes out about 10 minutes after taking them from the oven, but if it won't release, put it back into a hot oven just long enough for the cake pan to get hot, then try all over again. My Mama taught me that, and it works like a charm. Loved the video, and I'm so happy that you tried your sister's dish this year. It actually looked really good. Great video. Patrice

My friend came over to watch a football game a couple of Sundays before Thanksgiving. She is single. I asked her about her favorite childhood memory of Thanksgiving foods. She told me that her mom always made sweet potato pie. She joined us for Thanksgiving, and I made sure to have a sweet potato pie that I made from scratch. She said her mom would have been proud.
