I had very little seat time running a dozer… eventually, I just ended up turning down the hill. I finally have a little more seat time and also went ahead with all the necessary repairs to get both clutches and brakes working. It can be a lot of fun, running the old bulldozer on a nice day in the sun, moving a bunch of earth
Sitting crossways on that pole had you fowled. If it wasn't for scooting on that you could've just turned down the hill and maybe got the trash out and climbed back up. I was working on dams and ended up on the 8H, a 7F and a 6B doing different stuff. I like the sounds of an 8H and 7E and a 6B if it's been tuned right. Still do but I'm too stove up to bounce around on one.@@philippfister3194
So the Appalachian mountains are only 7-800 years old, and WTF did you park the machine on such a steep bank, when you had already cut a level area on the road? Color me NOT impressed.
Looks like you just need a winch instead of a P.C.U. Built logging roads myself and things do happen. 8's are fine dozers.

Self inflected situation. Good luck - I'm not watching any more of this!
Steel and mud equals problems who would have thought
Obviously an incompetent operator
