    But HUGE respect to Amir for turning up to the press conference and admitting the better boxer won. A real man!

    Clap at 15:02 was emotional - we’ve seen Khan as a teen at the Olympics and now at the end of his career. He’s fought the best, put it all on the line ; been a world champ and been knocked out - yet he’s always back. To all the haters - talking about glass chins . In 40 fights he’s had 6 losses. You don’t get stats like that with a glass chin. Will always be remembered as a legend

    • @tommyhunter7313
      @tommyhunter7313 2 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      He’s definitely chinny but he has good powers of recovery and his chin seems to get better as the fight goes on, but I agree he is chinny! he’s never had great punch resistance, which is a shame because if he did I think he would of had more wins than he does!

      i like khan but you dont have to be a hater to say he cant take a punch its just the truth of the matter i have been saying it for years if Khan was able to take a punch better i truly believe he could of been in the list top 100 boxers of all time and i feel for him because his attributes at his prime was through the roof and he worked and trained very hard he did his part in the gym he always did what he can control to the best of his ability but you cant do anything to be able to take a punch aside from being floyd and not getting hit also every time he gets hurt instead of trying to tie up when he's hurt and buy time clear his head as much as possible but he goes into survival mode kill or be killed and ends up him being finished granted he had 40 fights and only lost six times but the six times he has lost has been by knockout not only that he dam near gets rocked and put on skates almost every dam fight also if you just watched this fight and you dont see what people are talking about him not having a good chine i dont know what to tell you Brook was hurting him with almost every punch he landed not only that he dropped him with a jab

      Fair point. But part of me thinks he got beat so badly that he has no choice than to be humble. Credit for his toughness but at his stage his team should've stopped the fight by round 4/5 to prevent any more damage. The question is would Khan have been as humble as Kell If he won the same fashion? I feel Khan has too many hangers on who make money off his back.but watch the Billy dibs fight u Khan see back then Khan had lost his speed. Heavyweights don’t need to take note, Khan did a great turn you didn’t have to end your decent and complimentary comment in such a patronising way. There’s no need to tar all heavyweights with a broad stroke just because of the behaviour of a couple of brooding losers.

    No excuses. Owned it all, like a true champ. Humble in defeat, giving Brooks his props. Well done Amir, you're still King Khan, after all these years and you've left behind a legacy. Won an Olympic Silver at 17. Commonwealth at 20. World Champ at 22. Unified World Champ at 24. Fought 16 World Title-ists, won 11, lost 5. Fight of The Year with Maidana and won spectacularly in your prime when everyone doubted you. Headlined in Vegas and New York. An absolute Trailblazer who fought professionally in 3 separate decades with countless fights prior to becoming pro. Have taken many many hard hits, by some serious monsters, but have ALWAYS gotten back up. Gave Canelo a run for his money and was actually winning, up until the point where he got knocked out. Has been a professional for over half his damn life. Achieved more than what 99% of fighters ever do in this brutal sport and always shown guts and has never backed down or ducked any opponent. An absolute throwback fighter who fought everyone and anyone. Had glorious moments but came up short a few times, but who wouldn't after getting punched in the head for over 30 years. Amir, you will be missed once you retire... Time to hang'em up now Champ, you have nothing else to prove and have done everyone proud... To say Khan was scared to fight Brook or vice versa doesn't make any sense. They were in different points in their careers, Khan fought killers like Canelo, Crawford, Maidana, and campaigned for fights with Pacquiao and Mayweather. Khan clearly has a better resume in most boxing circles, but Brook was ready his entire life for tonight. Big respect to both men!

    • @mannya5343
      @mannya5343 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Some will always say Kahn was scared all these years. I think after what we witnessed in this fight there in fact some credibility to that statement. At the end of the day, all I know is that this should should have taken place in 2016. At that point both fighters were still in their primes, and fought in the same weight class(147)… Why the fight never happened, I guess we’ll never truly know. Instead of Kahn moving up in weight to fight Canelo, and Brook moving up in weight to fight GGG they should have fought each other… That train came and went, and could have been a huge huge fight back in 2016. I’m glad there is at least some closure, albeit way past due. On a positive note Brook looked real good, I think he deserves a big fight. Him v Benn would be a great fight. As for Kahn, it’s time to hang ‘em up. He had a good career overall.

    • @rant21
      @rant21 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Khan was definitely scared because losing to Brook back then would have been 10x worse than losing to him now. He was too dog in the UK and the blow to his ego would have stung worse than anything

    • @mannya5343
      @mannya5343 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @ery That only kinda excuses the delay of the fight. For the Canelo fight Kahn was guaranteed 2 million plus a percentage PPV sales. For the GGG fight Brook was guaranteed 3 million plus a percentage of PPV sales(was PPV in England). So I get each fighter had an opportunity to make big money. But in 2016 Kahn and Brook were very popular in the U.K, specifically England. That fight would have also been a big money fight, each fighter would have probably made at least 2 million each at least. Plus PPV. So that argument of they opted for bigger money isn’t exactly accurate. Moreover that still does not excuse the fact the fight didn’t happen after in 2017, 2018… Why wait till 2022? The reason why I hold Kahn more responsible is because he always spoke bad about Brook all these years, and he’s always had/has the bigger fanbase. Surely if he wanted that fight it would have happened. But he was ducking Brook all these years imho, and I think with what we witnessed today backs up that statement. Kahn has always been chinny and he knows that. Brook would have always knocked him out. They both are to blame though, just I think Kahn did more to purposely delay that fight for as long as possible. They should have fought each other in 2016 period, and Canelo and GGG should have fought each other that same year. Problem solved everybody makes money.

    • @mannya5343
      @mannya5343 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rant21 Oh I completely agree. Kahn spoke bad about Brook for years. For some reason English fans always loved Kahn more, but Brook was always a more skillful, stronger fighter. We all know Kahn has been chinny throughout his entire career. Brook would have always knocked him out, and yes possibly in even worse fashion. Would have been devastating to Kahn’s ego, not because he hadn’t been knocked out before, but because it would be by his own countrymen and Kahn couldn’t stand for that.

    • @mannya5343
      @mannya5343 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @ery Why are you being emotional? Moreover why are you insulting me? Can’t stand to be wrong? … How about we do this. You provide a credible source of Kahn v Canelo fight purse, and I will do the same. I know for a fact Kahn made 2 million, Canelo made 3 million. Plus each fighter got a percentage of PPV sales.
      As for me saying Kahn is more responsible for that fight not happening is because he is. He was always going to be the A side against Brook. Unfortunately English fans always supported Kahn more, I don’t know why Brook was always a more skillful, stronger fighter. If Kahn wanted that fight to happen in 2016, 17, 18 it would have happened but he didn’t.
