The closest thing to a good simulator game is probably Demolition Company Gold Edition, just because there is a lot of cathartic appeal in knocking buildings down brick by brick with sledgehammers and C4.
My laptop has done something similar to what happened at the end of the stream, completely blacked out upon leaving the game. Luckily, the use of TeamViwer installed on my computer made it so I can see everything perfectly from my phone. I hate it every time, but glad I can recover.
