I have the same welder. To make stronger weld, I put one electrode of the welder on to the battery metal other electrode to the nickel plate thus current passing through the nickel makes powerful spot welding.

At 650A the foil will evaporate in milliseconds, burning everything around. It's just a chinese marketing trick to name items that misleading way.

@@hansplourde I don’t think cell is super relevant here, because you’d build up charge in a capacitor anyway… this way you can do high amp discharge momentarily.

А если большой ток надо, все равно придется медь наращивать. 40А ни никель, ни железяка не выдержат. Перегрев будет.
