A lot of bunnies don’t like being picked up 🤷🏽♀️ but don’t let that intimidate you if you have to move her just do it eventually she will understand that u aren’t hurting her. Try doing a lot of floor time with her so that your bond will become stronger she’s still a baby ur bond is developing it’s going to be amazing ❤
Yeah so the other day she got into my bedroom and it's all hardwood so I didn't want her hurting her paws but she just wouldnt leave so I had to pick her up. She scrambled for a bit then settled and I gave her a few kisses and put her in her room fully expecting her to hate me but she let me pet her immediately and everything was normal again yay!! In the past she would hide for atleast a couple of hrs before forgiving me lol
Yeah, if you want an animal to do something for you, you have to give them something in return. Otherwise the best laid plans of mice and pet owners. If you haven't already try getting a clicker and giving her treats paired with the sound. This associates the noise with food. That way you can call her back to you and not chase her down the hall. If this strategy works, you can pair the click and treat with experiences. Mind you, I have not tried this on my bunny, but I have done it successfully with my cat and used it to teach him how to sit on command (he does occasionally refuse to sit if he's too excited or hungry). I think I might try it though, using spring mix and just drop a leaf instead of a treat. The freeze dried banana slices I use to reward her after grooming would take a little longer for her to eat because they're hard. She inhales leaves like they're air she eats them so fast though.
I've heard about the click thing maybe I'll give it a try. She's definitely getting conditioned with treat time at night and always runs to us and tugs on our pants it's sooooo cute I need to film it 😍
Scratch pads are amazing for bunnies! When she gets older she’ll start to rip it up and throw it around, all perfectly normal and it’s actually very amusing to see. The cardboard is easy to clean up. ^^ Oh also, bunnies absolutely love it when you gently pick at their fur. I discovered this when I noticed my first bunny’s fur was a bit messy and I tried to fix it with my hands, she leaned in and even climbed on my lap to get more. I tried it with my other bunny and got the same result. It imitates grooming for rabbits and they if it affectionate. Anyways don’t feel too bad about Peekaboos’ reaction to the costume, she’ll be fine and as your bond strengthens she’ll be more comfortable and trust you. Rabbits are also very loyal so once you get that bond there’s not much you can do to mess it up, trust me. ❤
Yes she just started chewing hers 😆 OMG I totally had the same thing happen. Was picking at her hair cuz it had something stuck in it and she started to make teeth chatters which I heard is a pleasure response so now I don't that everyday and she LOVES IT😆❤️ thx for the encouragement!! I'm definitely too impatient😅
So adorable! Quick tip once she's 6 months old you should find an exotic vet and get her spayed. By getting her spayed you will be preventing bad health problems like cancer and she will live way longer.
My Son Kirby 🐇 & I say Hi. To Peekaboo & his Loving Mother. A good toy is a 3 way cat tunnel. I take My Son Kirby 🐇 outside in a stroller. We go to the park, farmers market, Dunkin donuts and shopping. Cheaper on eBay. Never, never get a Bunny wet in water. Also no loud sounds. You will Love the Bunny Flop. I do because I get to see his Big Paws and Beautiful Tail. Don't touch his Big Paws or Beautiful Tail. He will run or nip you. I learned the hard way. We watch TV together. He follows me to the bedroom at night. He wakes me up at night running around on the bed and he will sniff my hair and kiss me. I always Kiss him back on his Adorable Face and Head. When they do a Binnke they are Happy Content.♥️💞🥰💘🍓🍌🐰
