    Another great place to hike and you got great weather to hike in again as well. Real interesting looks at the old monuments and your son sure looked proud with his badge at the end, cheers Alan

    What a proud badge wearer little man was, chest out and marching. The trail itself, beside the sights looked fun to walk. 10,000 years and they are still standing, well somewhat. Pretty good construction for 10k years old.

      He hiked so well that day Lance, and did his Junior Ranger activities, he really deserved it! 💛 Not shabby for 10K years old. There was a lot build more recently that didn't make it! Thanks so much Lance, always really appreciate your comments 😃

    What a nice video about Pueblo people. We went in Mesa Verde last summer and it’s also Pueblo people that live there . It was cool to be able to walk along those ruins and you were all alone . Thanks for sharing this place with us.

      Hi Hélène et Serge! The pueblo people were spread in that area. The most impressive ruins are Mesa Verde for sure. Ce qui m'a plu à Hovenweep était les différentes formes de batisse. Merci beaucoup et bonne semaine à tous les deux

    I've been to this national monument before and it is extremely remote! I loved this place and I do have a crazy story to tell you about it. As I was walking on the path I was busy taking pictures and I almost stepped on a rattlesnake before it alerted to me. I screamed really loud and then walked a couple more steps and another rattlesnake popped out! Great filming of this National Monument and It brought back memories of the snakes and how much I loved this Park!

    • @WithinHikingDistance
      @WithinHikingDistance  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      What a story Eric! You sure got lucky twice for not being bitten! The snakes knew you are from the desert too 😉😂 It definitely is not the place to get a flat tire. Really cool all around though. Really glad you got to visit it and thanks for sharing your story! 🐍🐍
