I love seeing your sketchbooks!! It's inspiring!! I realized one reason why my drawings dont look right is because I don't draw with confidence. Thank you for the tips!!
After traveling for two weeks from the UK to Munich I finally got your book. Last year I was so eager to improve my art , learning to draw portraits, animals etc. But I totally forgot the funny little sketches I used to make about two years ago , a habit I got from sketchbook skool . Now I start to enjoy this again ! I love your book , it’s so inspiring and fun to read. Thank you so much ❤❤❤❤❤
Very much appreciated Koosje....thank you! I need this to kickstart a daily habit of drawing. Somehow i don't prioritise one of the habits i need most!
I still don't have the confidence to sketch people from life. Needs practice...I don't 🙄 But I LOVE so much your flip throughs, that when I haven't seen people for a while, I give them my sketchbooks to catch up...there's so much more of a story in a sketch than a photo...truly, life is better when you draw it😊
Flipping through other people’s sketchbooks is so great! I am happy to see that you share your pages with others. And yes, you know it: only practice will make for better skills.
Hi there! Do you remember Illustration Friday way back like 2013? I think you did that one, I remember you from there, and more recently from FaceBook. I have left FB but it's nice to see you here. You look just the same! Your sketches are always so vibrant and perfectly detailed.☺
Love the drawing from stills. I try to do them with TH-cam creators, take a screen grab, draw along split screen, & use the time of the video as my limit. Every video is a different time, so it makes it interesting. * also small correction, the Tim Burton film is Edward Scissorhands. One of my favorites ☺
I like the idea of drawing pencil in background and pen in front.
It’s a very effective way to create depth, and to keep your tools limited doing so.
@@pjlewisful yes, I thought that was a good idea as well.

It’s a strange thing that we keep putting off the things that bring us so much joy. Let’s unlearn that and put them first!
The black and white coffee shop after the public class is my fave. I love the bold varied line thickness.
You always inspire me ❤😊
Awww yay!

Oh gosh yes, I don’t know how I came up with the title Beetlejuice? Completely confused. Thanks!
@KoosjeKoene ha! No worries, on a second viewing I saw you had titled it correctly on your page. 👍🏽
