I visited Magnitogorsk as a teen in the 90’s. Yes it was polluted. When I blew my nose, boogers were black! Only time in my life I’ve experienced that. The people were warm and welcoming though. Enjoyed my time there more than my visit to Moscow because of the warm people in Magnitogorsk.
High levels of pollution combine to produce many different maladies. Skin cancer, malignant blood diseases and diabetes are common. The hardest hit are the children in the city. The local hospital estimates that only 1% of all children in Magnitogorsk are in good health, with the rest falling short.
LOL its funny i see coat of arms of Slovenia, Ireland, if i see correctly also flag of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and CoA of Denmark. I think they put less known flags and CoA's just for curiosity. Probably was put there by school children as a part of geography and history class or something like that.
