The lure of real food is a real thing. PVC!, Money Bags

The promise of a burger would get me up early too. Doesn't hurt to have a little extra motivation to make those miles. I think even a dollar McDonald's hamburger would motivate me to book it down the trail😂

Nice one!!! A burger, water, burger... shop! A goal anyone could appreciate. Your videos continue to rock; nice work. Of course, priority is for you to have fun and enjoy the trip. So, I assume you post at your leasure, as we in the peanut gallery would. Carry on!

Thanks bro. I work on my videos at night in my tent, if I’m not too exhausted 😀… then post when in town and have WiFi.

I love the change in plants as you continue your travels. The cacti and yuca in this video are similar to those here in Zion Nat'l Park and the surrounding area. In a pinch, the roots of the yuca are edible (very potato like). Just want to make sure you peel them before cooking. But, that burger looked far tastier!

Greetings from Japan! (Yes, I really am in Japan.)
Enjoying each and every video! I've got a few questions if you don't mind:
    1. What did you do in the Navy?
    2. Do you have a trail name?
    3. How many burgers so far along the PCT? Where did you eat them? How did they rate?
If any of this is too intrusive, please just ignore it.
Looking forward to the upcoming episodes. It'll be interesting to see how passable San Jacinto is now.
    Be safe; keep at it!

      Japan .. wow !
I flew on P3’s in the Navy. Our primary mission was to track subs. Spent many hours flying over the South China Sea tracking Soviet subs in the early 80,s.
My trail name is DJ, it’s a nickname I’ve hade since I was young. But Marty officially granted me the trail name when we were hiking together … so DJ it is.👍
Only one burger … the verdict is still out.

      Hey there DJ!
Thanks for answering the questions. I never served, but I come from a "Navy family," so I I have deep respect for those who were in the US Navy. My dad was in from about 1962 up to about 1993. His Navy career was a big influence on me coming over to Japan.
Looking forward to further burger updates!
      You're doing a fantastic job!

Follow you and a few others and plotting the trail on Google Earth so I can see where everyone is. I don’t go far these days so loving my vicarious trek . I’ve ’visited’ Mike’s Place several times, but this is the first time I’ve ‘met’ him. Always look forward to a new post from you here in the UK.
