- The longer I worked on this the more it felt like I was ripping of the Melloz heist Hermitcraft news animatic. But at this point I’ve spent too much time on this to back out now so say hello to Walmart brand Hermitcraft news
Little to they know that the spinning grian at the start was just him on one of those spiny stools (also this is so good)
You have no idea how much I kept laughing while animating that
I want Grian and Joel to do a news segment for Hermitcraft TOGETHER at some point, wouldn't that be fun? I mean they've both done something like this at least once, right?
Also, I cannot believe that there’s a new life series in the works!

THANKS :D in the original he only did one breaking news caption where he declared a new life series was in the works so I just had fun with the rest. My handwriting kinda sucks so I’m glad they were legible

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! I only started doing animatics very recently so I’m still learning. I’m really glad you liked the designs because that’s something I found myself really struggling with. In the original he only did a caption breaking news on the first story so I kinda just had fun with the rest. I tend to do a lot more over on tumblr under the same username if you want to see more of my content :D If you don’t have tumblr then im sorry cuz that’s really the only place I exist online.

HOW DID YOU MAKE THIS THIS FAST?
I’m on summer vacation so I just completely throw myself into it without stopping. I’ll just work for like 12 hours in one day to get it done as quickly as possible because if I drop something for more than 2 days I will never pick it back up. This took about 11 hours in total; 2 hours yesterday after the video came out and the rest today. Sorry if this is more information than you were asking for. I normally do single pieces that I can finish in one or two sittings so when moving over to animatics I’ve kinda just been using the same strategy even if it’s probably not the best way to do it.
